You CAN critique each other. You just have to deliver subtle humorous insults that can't be taken as offensive to their ancestors, clan, or honor. They have to be utterly personal. After all, to a certain point, you gain honor for ignoring insults to self

I always imagined it, like when it's two artists, they have their pieces set up and they're insulting eachothers work.

Like:
