Dinner Party [D3, EE, OPEN]

[Shinjo Kemuri]

Kemuri simply held out a piece of fish, as the others converged on the feline.

"Avoid the shellfish." he advised.

[Mindshred]

"Excuse me, Shinjo-san,"

Yuzuki gave a short bow as she went to check on whatever was causing the disturbance...

...only to find it was Kon!

Oh no.

"Kon!" she raised her voice as she headed in the cat's direction. "You know better than this!"

She tried to grab him.

The cat sneezes on Kemuri, a combination of red sauce and feline snot, and then leaps down to the ground and dart out of the tent!

/whoosh!

[Kakita Nanami]

The Crane had been sitting quietly by herself, sipping at the provided sake and hoping against odds she might find some tea somewhere. Nanami hadn't truly been sure what to expect from the Mantis' little dinner... but was delighted to note that it seemed to provide slightly more palatable food than the Unicorn had, as a whole, put on offer.

Then the noise and movement caught her attention, fan snapping up to hide a smile as the little creature rampaged across the table - splattering, she noted with a bit of a frown, some sort of sauce all over her fan - and then sneezing on the Unicorn. The little beast stormed from the tent, leaving an amused smirk on the Crane's face behind the fan.

"Well! That certainly was exciting."

[Shinjo Kemuri]

The Shinjo calmly wiped the mess away. "Still better than the shellfish."

[Yasuki Tomonaga]

The sudden appearance of the fierce beast caused Tomonaga's eyes to open wide. He watched, briefly stunned, as the cat leaped onto the table, scattering dishes hither and yon. The sheer joy the creature seemed to be having was evident, and, despite himself, Tomonaga found himself laughing at the cat's antics.

Until it careened into a stack of sake bottles.

Crab have little enough that they dislike wasting anything. And, even though they tend to have a lot of sake, the dislike of waste seemed to apply even more to that. With a startled exclamation, Tomonaga leaped forward himself (although not onto the table). He moved quickly, righting upended sake bottles, picking others up off the ground, doing his best to limit the damage.

[Matsu Yurio]

"No wait! Kitty!"

He dashed to where the cat had exited the tent and looked to see where it had gone.

[Yuzuki]

Why were cats so fast and agile? And why had she chosen such a creature to keep as a pet? And what sort of punishment would she have to come up with to impress upon Kon the severity of his actions? Would he even understand punishment?

"Get back here you stupid cat!"

She too darted after the cat, homing in on his last known position.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

After a moment to assess the situation, Kemuri followed as well. If he couldn't help them find the cat, he might, at least, get a chance to change kimono.

[Mindshred]

The food-prints on the ground led through the maze of yurts, but in the dimming light, it would be difficult to follow them... and probably pointless, given how many places a cat could hide in the village after dark.

[Yuzuki]

She put a hand up to her face as she realized he could be anywhere by now.

"I should have seen this coming," she said to herself; still oblivious to the other two samurai who had gone after the cat same as her.

[Usagi Tsukimi]

Tsukimi stepped in just as a Lion, and Yuzuki dashed out. Humming to herself, the Hare took a moment to assess the situation and the chaos...

"Huh." She bowed to those left, smiled at the sight of Shinjo-san, and looked at the food that remained. She hoped there was tea.

[Shiba Kaizen]

After the incident the other day with the goat the sudden Catsplosion did not startle Kaizen to such a dramatic reaction. Rather he watched in wide eyed amusement and curiosity and the mewhem ensued. He stepped back deftly so that those participating in the chase would not be impeded. He grinned slightly wondering what would become of the party with host leading a train after the fleeing feline.

[Shinjo Kemuri]

Kemuri tried to follow the tracks as best as he could, but it was become very difficult.

"I don't think we'll find the cat, mina-sama."

[Moshi Asakiko]

The tiny Moshi was going in when the pair of people rushed out. She carried a plate with a flower arrangement with some flowers ahe picked from the field. "Konbanwa..." She just said to the guests with a bow. The arrangement had some rice flowers and jasmins.

[Yuzuki]

"I... I am sorry, Samurai-sama's," she said to the two who had followed her out, giving them both a bow.
