(Day 3, EM) Wrestlemania (Open)

[Moto Butaj]

Crisp and smiling, Butaj enters the dojo to rumble once again! He promised a bout to the little Lion and Butaj stays true to his word. Remembering his woe of no-one giving him anything to drink after the bout, he brings a bucket of water with himself and leaves it at the genkan of the dojo, then proceeds to undress for bariqu and do some warm-up and stretching.

[Soshi Taira]

Hard to say anything about 'bariqu' given nobody had mentioned it to him, but Taira figured he should at least go to the dojo and stretch before his riding lesson later that morning.

He arrived at the dojo dressed in a simple hakama and gi, dark gray and red, and marked only with family mons.

At the entrance, he bowed to dojo, and then butaj.

He didn't expect others to be here so early, but there it was.

"Good morning, Moto-san. I hope you and your kin are doing well."

[Moto Butaj]

"Good morning!" Butaj stops to greet the Soshi, rushing forth for a quick handshake after returning the bow. "We're doing great, thank you for caring. Sayyeda Khulun is doing better thanks to you. Butaj hopes your brethren are doing well too."

[Soshi Taira]

Taira still had a momentary confusion and horror as the man rushed him, but some memory managed to bring his hand out for the handshake.

"I'm glad she is recovering. My kin are fine, as far as I know. Getting along like a bag of scorpions."

That was a little snide, but after the 'clan meeting' yesterday he was a little grumpy.

"I thought I might come and stretch a little, maybe run through some kata... do the moto also perform kata?"

[Moto Butaj]

"Bag of scorpions, heh? Butaj's money are on the Soshi in the bag." He smirks after a quick and strong handshake. "Maybe! What exactly is kata?"

[Soshi Taira]

"I appreciate the vote of confidence. I'm not bad in a tussle, in my own way."

Taira offered a cheeky grin.

"Kata. Training motions, I guess, would be the simplest explanation. A set of motions to repeat, over and over, to build strength and make the body learn how to move for later, when you put that into action."

[Matsu Yurio]

The Butaj's opponent arrived. Having seen how the Moto wrestled the day before, Yurio had altered his clothing to make them more appropriate for this Bareekay. Luckily he had brought his training Gi with him.

He nodded to both the Soshi and Moto before bowing.

[Moto Butaj]

"Oooh, we have training routines like that. So you call them kata. Butaj will remember." Butaj nods back to the litte Lion. "Good morning. Butaj is ready when Matsu Yurio is." He then looks at Taira again. "Butaj was challenged to a bout yesterday. We make good if it today, and Butaj will show bariqu again. If Soshi Taira enjoys a tussle we can do it right after!"

[Matsu Yurio]

"Good morning, Moto-san, Soshi-san. A moment to stretch and I will be ready."

He looked about.

"Not quite the crowds of last night, or perhaps it is too early for those who were in the Crab supplies."

[Soshi Taira]

"Good morning, Matsu-san. Indeed it is a quiet morn."

Taira listened, and nodded, and moved to the side.

"Don't let me interfere with your scheduled bout. Perhaps if you still wish to practice afterward, I will join you then, Moto-san."

[Matsu Yurio]

As good as his word, Yurio began the stretching exercises in preparation for the wrasslin' showdown.

[Moto Butaj]

Butaj gives Yurio the time to stretch. When it is time, he enters the ring and moves sideways along its rim to get the feel of the battlefield. Sporadic yawning slows him down at times.

(Standard Attack, ATN 15)

[Matsu Yurio]

Stretching done, Yurio removed his gi top as this bareeekay seemed to require and bowed to Butaj before assuming his stance.

He was in the stance for only a moment, a blur of kitteh motion as he launched himself forward, grabbing Butaj by the shoulder and beginning to swing himself around for a high velocity, high risk throw.

[Soshi Taira]

Taira raised an eyebrow as he adjusted the strip of red cloth he wore about his neck, in place of the collar he normally used to imply a mask.

Then he began stretching, watching with interest.

He didn't understand why clothes had to come off for this though.

[Moto Butaj]

The fair flurry of kitteh motion fury wraps around Butaj, surprising him greatly! Wide-eyed, muscle against muscle in a tight knot, mighty Butaj counters the agile felinyan gripping him in a close embrace around his waist!
