[Day 2: LM] Even In sickness the divination booth is open!

[Isawa Nonin]

"An honor, Suki-san," nods Nonin. "I am quite interested in the ways of the Brotherhood. So many interesting paths. I hear that was even a new Order formed in Sparrow lands. Is that true?"

[Suki]

"If it is, I cannot say," she offered apologetically. "The pilgrimage that brought me here is my first time outside of Phoenix lands. I have not gone that far south and have heard little of the Suzume provinces."

[Isawa Nonin]

Nonin nods. "It is my first time out of the Phoenix lands as well. It is easy to forget the Empire is so vast."

[Suki]

"Hai. Though the presence of so many here, each following their own path, shows its not quite as vast as its size makes it seem."

[Moshi Asakiko]

Amaya closes her eyes and reaches for the box, taking the first stick that her fingers touch. Opening her eyes, she peers quizzically at her choice.

The Moshi looked at the stick and smiled. "Contemplation (Kuan/View)CONTEMPLATION. The cleansing has been made, but not yet the offering. Full of trust they look up to you." She looked at the lines and nodded. "Contemplation of your life makes the superior man without blame."

[Ide Amaya]

Amaya's lips move slightly as she repeats the fortune to herself. "Thank you, Moshi-Sama. You have my deepest gratitude. I do not have much, but if there is something I can do to repay your kindness, please tell me."

[Isawa Nonin]

Nonin ponders the nun's words. "If vastness is reduced by the number of people, that implies that the Capital is very compact."

[Suki]

"It is less reduced by the number of people and more by their ability to come to together," she clarified. "When this one first traveled from Honored Treaty City, the trek seemed daunting," she admitted. "Having seen other people from all across Rokugan converge on one place has provided some perspective. Those of us from Phoenix lands and those who've traveled from other, distant locales no longer seem quite so far apart."

[Isawa Nonin]

"Ah, that makes more sense," nodded the Phoenix.

"And there is quite a multitude here from all across the Empire and even beyond."

[Suki]

"The miai has certainly drawn many," she agreed. "This one looks forward to interacting with them. In purely an advisory capacity, of course. This one hopes to aid the participants in ultimately forming pairings that are pleasing to Benten-kami."

[Moshi Asakiko]

The Moshi just sat quietly as the Monk and the Phoenix conversed. She couldn't help but give a light chuckle.

[Isawa Nonin]

"I also hope that will be true, pleasing the Fortunes is good for all in the Empire," agrees Nonin.

[Suki]

"Through oneness with the will of the Heavens, all things are possible," Suki nods, further emphasizing the point. "It will certainly be interesting to see how the Unicorns approach matters of marriage and romantic love." It was a blunt statement; one it would be improper for a samurai to make. Thankfully, she wasn't a samurai.

[Isawa Nonin]

"Agreed, they must have acquired divergent traditions in their long time away from their homeland," said Nonin. "I am immensely curious to see how they integrate with ours."

[Suki]

"This one has yet to have the opportunity to have more than a short conversation with one of their number. Hopefully, that will be rectified by day's end. Still, even in that small discussion, that they have ways that are unique to them was quite apparent." There was no judgment in her tone. If anything, she sounded intrigued.
