Should the Unicorn accept the Onyx Champion's deal?

Yes. The Unicorn will send a large portion of their forces back out into the desert to rescue Shinjo, eventually returning with her to the Empire just as things reach their darkest. In return, the Onyx Champion will amass a sizable army of undead Unicorn.

Yes. The Unicorn will make preparations for freeing Shinjo, which will include working with the other Clans to rediscover the ability to cast elemental magic. Though they will not be able to free Shinjo due to other matters taking precedence, the preparations will be of significant importance in the coming future. Yes. The Kolat will subvert the gained information, however, and they will keep Shinjo's location a secret in order to ensure that she does not interfere with their plans. Mei's gotta vote Kolat.

Though it is odd that Kolat would agree to helping Shadowlands. It was always a common enemy for the Kolat to hate the Taint just like normal Rokugani...

I don't think they'll be helping them.

I read it as they see Shinjo as just as much of a threat as the Shadowlands and decided to call it a wash, just with the Onyx champion gaining some strength in return.

Adorai still has a face.

And Shinjo's a goddess! Hopefully she'd keep hers.

But it was a very very tough choice. Rescuing Shinjo was tempting too, despite all the undead ponies.

Considering what's going on with the Hiruma...powering up the Lying Darkness doesn't seem like a way to secure that either. :lol:

I hate the way it was handled in canon, but I have faith that MS could do any storyline justice.
