Wings of Darkness (D2, Early Night)

[Otaku Kitakuhime]

"The kindness is merely a show of my friendship."

Udo seems to again notice there's another person present and turns to her. "Otaku-sama, this one assumes you know what transpired last night. Please make use of me as needed tonight; I do not wish to interfere except as the Unicorn desire me to do so."

She snaps out of the moon reverie, and looks to Udo. "Shitsurei!" Her eyes close for a while, remembering his words to her in order to reply.

Moments later, she adds, looking to Khulun, "I didn't know Togashi-san knew about yesterday."

[Moto Khulun]

“Dragon was here first, before I heard the Herald, perhaps Dragon was part of the omen,” she says.

“First guide us home, now guide us to Herald!”

[Otaku Kitakuhime]

"Herald?"

She blinks quite a few times.

[Togashi Udo]

"The birds claimed to be a herald," Udo says simply, not wanting to interrupt.

[Otaku Kitakuhime]

What's wrong with today? Everything seems so... awkward.

"Birds?" She focus on Udo.

[Togashi Udo]

Udo coughs and looks at Khulun.

[Moto Khulun]

“The birds were black and looked dead or dying… yet they spoke and knew of our coming. Surely such a sign was a warning of the nightmare that we faced,” she says with a nod.

[Togashi Udo]

Udo tilts his head to the side a bit like a confused dog. Nightmare we faced...?

[Otaku Kitakuhime]

Kitakuhime nods, "No need for further, Khulun-san."

[Togashi Udo]

Udo looks up at the moon himself, as if he'd heard nothing.

After a bit of silence passes, he looks down at the others. "As said, I am at your service in whatever is required."

[Moto Khulun]

Khulun nods and says, "As you say, Otaku-hime. Tonight we learn more from the Herald."

[Mindshred]

Like leaves blown by an unseen wind, a flock of black-feathered crows wheels overhead, circling over the field in a wide arc before descending to the ground. They alight upon the archery targets, some missing feathers or patches of flesh, their eyes either clouded white with death or missing entirely.

Once they have their bearings, the undead birds turn to face the small group, bobbing their heads in pantomime of bows.

"...well met... Unicorn..."

The birds glance toward Kitakuhime, each of them moving simultaneously with the others.

"...an Otaku... how fortuitous..."

[Otaku Kitakuhime]

I'm not pissing my pants tonight!

She squints her eyes at the undead birds and gets ready to act, if necessary.

[Moto Khulun]

"Welcome, we have returned," she says.

[Togashi Udo]

Udo stands, more resolute than the last time he saw the birds.

With the birds attention on the Unicorn, Udo decides to make sure some attention is elsewhere, in case there are more than the birds tonight. Something cut Moto-san, and the birds may have be warning of it... no reason to think it couldn't happen again tonight.
