The way or the day. (Day 7 Early Evening.)

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"This is tasty though, not the kinda swill you will find in a cheap sake house." He assured her with a nod.

"I suppose I will." He agreed with a nod. "Will have to apologize to her as well, it was rude of me to miss it" Any attempt at teasing was apparently missed.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Hai. It is merely a different taste from kumis," she replied with a smile.

Yue trailed her finger along the rims of her cup. "However, the Togashi monk dedicated his song to her. He may choose her before she can choose you," she advised.

[Ichiro Daisuke]

He shrugged. "If that's the case, I'll just be in the exact same place I was before I knew." He said somewhat indifferently.

Pausing a few moments before letting out a small sigh. "Not to say I don't like her, or that I wouldn't like the match, but we've only managed to chat a few times."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

The Shinjo was unable to keep herself from laughing. "I could say the same for any of the samurai here. However, many appear to be in love." She drank the rest of her cup. "I believe you are quite wise, Daisuke-dono."

"I feel sorry for that Ide girl if she or the man she likes don't raise their standings. Wearing his clans colors like things are set in stone, when they aren't. Honestly wouldn't be half surprised if someone picked her because she wore them."

He shook his head. "I don't think I'm very wise, a wise man would of controlled his temper and been there when a pleasant young woman sang for him." Noticing her empty cup he picked up the bottle to offer her a refill. "I'm just a bit more careful then most i think."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Someone would be so cruel?" she asked in regards to the Ide. "However, you are correct, Daisuke-dono. No arrangements are certain at this point."

She accepted the refill and thanked him again. "A wise man can blunder." She shrugged. "I am merely complimenting you for not becoming too attached to any suitor here."

Wow I am sounding so judgmental right now.

"Some might, I don't know if anyone here would, but anything is possible." He takes a sip from his bottle before placing it back on the ground.

"It's likely something that can be fixed though." A talk with Imane, a apology, perhaps a gift. "I suppose I should thank you though, but all I've really done is be realistic about the matter."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Hai. Anything is possible."

She smiled warmly at the man. "I have faith in you, Daisuke-dono." She took a sip from her cup and closed her eyes as she thought more on the flavor. "Who would you choose if you were at the top?" she asked out of curiosity. She was certain now that she was nowhere near his priority but it did not bother her.

Smiles really weren't something Daisuke was sharing this evening, his face mostly a neutral mask. "That's something I'll have to take more time to think about, today's matters and your own revelations have given me more to think about."

He would also like to see what Kitakuhume would do, how she would act when they met later this evening, though at the moment she was no longer an option. "Is that the answer you were expecting?"

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue smirked. "I should have expected that answer. I was unsure of who you would choose but instead you have told me that you are being cautious. That is good, Daisuke-dono." She raised her cup to him and downed her shochu.

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"Though to some I would likely sound heartless." He replied with a faint smile on his lips. "I just think of marriage as something I'll likely only do once, and here I might just get a say in it, so if at all possible I'd like to find the right woman to spend my life with."

"So I'm taking my time with it, in all honestly I'd like more then ten days, but if all that I have is that, I intend to use every one of tehm."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"I do not think you are heartless. You are not allowing yourself to be too consumed by something that may not happen." Yue smiled and looked at him with a weak smile. "I had two men profess their love to me. I did not want to sing to wound either of them by choosing one to sing to." She let out a small laugh. "But I have still wounded them."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"Yes, and if you get to a place where you get to choose a spouse, you will be injuring one once again." He lifted his bottle of shochu to take a sip from the bottle once again. "And I can't say I quite understand your reasoning."

"It's like you jumped off the bridge and into the river to avoid the rainfall."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Perhaps I enjoy swimming." Yue let out a sigh. "Perhaps I allowed myself to feel Fear. I charged against a monster and yet I did not want to name a suitor."

[Ichiro Daisuke]

"If you liked swimming you wouldn't be drinking this evening Shinjo-san." He couldn't help but grimace a the mention of fear. "If such is the case and you truly felt fear, perhaps you should spend some time at the Shrine tomorrow." Fear was a sin after all. "Or consult one of your priests, they may be able to help you as well, in ways the Ide would not."

"Of course that comparison makes me wonder if you aren't thinking of your suitors as some kind of monster in their own right."
