[D1 LA] Short Lesson Before Dinner

[Soshi Yuuru]

He smiled and winked, "That was the point of my joke Tomoe-chan."

He picked up his stuff and nodded, "Here, let me walk with you."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Sure," she nodded and made a final adjustement to her hat. Just because she was going to marry a Unicorn, hopefully, didn't mean it was time to be crazy and get a tan.

"Which if the camps are you staying at?"

[Soshi Yuuru]

"The ones in the north." He replied as he began walking back. "You?"

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Same," she flashed a grin. "Rather lucky, neh? The Scorpion and the Lion, along with the Hare, in one camp. Just imagine all we could get up to."

[Soshi Yuuru]

"So you are imagining things about me then?" He said with a chuckle.

"We'll have to do something fun while we're here. Without getting into too much trouble."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"I'm sure we can think of something. I've already met an interesting pair of Lions, and a few of your kin," she grinned. "Bayushi Hotaru and Bayushi Suteichi. Hotaru is rather adorable, you know... had to save her from being devoured by a lamb who thought she looked cute enough to be eaten. And Suteichi... well, I don't think he likes me. Probably has a stick up you-know-where."

"And then there's Matsu Kogo and Matsu Nintoku of the Lion - Nintoku is all serious and stuff, but I think he's rather shy around girls. Kogo is like a girly-girl hiding behind the tough exterior of a Matsu warrior, and she supposedly has a Warcat here with her!"

[Soshi Yuuru]

He chuckled, "I'd prefer to have little to do with giant predatory cats if possible."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Aw, don't be a scaredy-cat now," Tomoe teased in return. "She assured me that her feline companion was quite welcoming to meeting new people."

[Soshi Yuuru]

Yuuru rubbed his shoulder, "Quite welcoming, I'm sure... welcomed right into its jaws."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Now do you really think a Matsu would allow her warcat to eat one of her clan's allies?" Tomoe scoffed. "It's not a wild tiger, you know, but a well-trained and disciplined warcat."

[Soshi Yuuru]

Yuuru looked skeptical, "Same eyes... same instincts... Ungodly creatures those felines."

He then shook his head and smiled, "I like bunnies much better personally."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Ara, ara... is the dashing and daring Soshi Yuuru scared of a cat?" Tomoe laughed sweetly.

[Soshi Yuuru]

"No more than they are scared of me after what I did to their friend." He said with a chuckle and a bit of bravado.

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Suuuure," she giggled once more, but like he did not push her on her weakness, she wouldn't push further there. That was friendship, after all.

"Do you know the two Bayushi though? Hotaru and Suteichi?"

[Asako Hirase]

I suppose he fits the 'smart' bit I had told big sis. I really should ask him what she thinks of this man.

Yue nodded. "It would be good for you to learn regardless! I cannot think of a woman in my Clan who would be happy with a husband unfit for the saddle!" The claim included her, of course.

That got a sharp, decisive nod from him.

"Then I will have to become fit. Even if it comes to pass that a bride returns with me to the Phoenix, I am sure that a posting can be arranged with space to ride. My old home would not do, of course, but I am certain I can arrange the right conditions." He glanced down at the horse again, then at the field. "Though...how much space does a horse need to be contented in? We've valleys in plenty in the more mountainous regions but not many fields so large as this that aren't in plant."
