As a FG for DW I get to see a bit of the behind the scenes and the game is good, just the communication and delivery are poor.

I really wanted to do Uncharted Seas awhile back, but it just didn't seem like it had the support to make it real... and then they canceled it. I really would love a good Age of Sail game.

How is Guild Ball? I was considering picking up the starter box to try (and to play with Tsukimi from time to time outside of playing at the local tore).

I also wanna grab some Bushido models to paint up... but not until I've refined my skills a bit more.

It's fine. I often get frustrated about sports games that you can win without sportsballing, so that provides some frustration for me. That said, it can play pretty smoothly and some people seem to be into it... Basically, it's a game I'd play if others were playing around me, but not a game I'd search out new players for.

Thinking about it, business deals within the Yasuki might be kinda boring for them:

We don't have to talk trade amongst ourselves. That would be silly! We can talk about past deals, different trade practices we've seen and maaaaaaybe laugh about times we totally got the waaaaaay better end of a deal.

How's the material for them handle? I'm always, always wary with metal models because the quality of them tends to vary and how well the primer sticks to them is a crapshoot.

What are these bushido models you refer to? I used to paint Clan War models wayyyyy back when Clan War was a thing.... it'd be fun to look at some new feudal Japan miniatures.

It's a fantasy game based on feudal Japan - so it might kinda be up your alley for that. I don't know much about it except the miniatures look kinda cool painted up.

Since I saw it mentioned several pages back...

Would the new players like us more "veteran" players to do a thread where we introduce ourselves, say who we have been in other games (so those who have played one or two games elsewhere can locate a friendly face)? Most of us want to help out the newcomers in having a good time here in our silly little playground, after all.

I obviously can't stop anyone else (and likely most of the 'veterans' have already found each other anyway), but I think it'd be interesting if we didn't do that this time around.

As far as metal goes, pretty good.

I didn't have to wash them at all, and the connections (at least for the Savage Wave starter box) were pretty good.

Does anyone know of a good printer? I need a prototype done up and my current choice is much to expensive.

I have found it much more cost-efficient to just print them off on a home printer. The ink cartridges end up costing less than professional print jobs, unless you need something special done.
