What happens if one does not satisfy the fluff, non-rolling requirements of the event (like making the identity of the other clear)? Is it only that the points aren't counted by the judges, or there are other consequences as well?

Any character who scores negative Ballad Points (-1 or below) so thoroughly embarrasses themselves that, if they end up married to the subject of their song, neither they nor their fiance can gain the Blissful Betrothal advantage.

Does Every Rose Has A Thorn-roll count as a Social Skill roll? I was suddenly unsure since Artisan is usually not, but Acting and Perform usually are, but it uses Intelligence this time... (yes, it's late and I'm confusing myself)

If it is not a Social Skill because of the attached stat (which I don't think is how it works, but may be), then my first roll is not legit, giving myself a bonus I don't have.
