The girl looks to her peer, "Senpai... we charge on command, together. Let's wait for the signal, silently, as you have taught us."

Another glance to Dong-Ha, "So. There are no charms or protections we could carry with us to fight the enemy?"

"I have nothing on me, I am afraid." Dong-Ha shook his head. "My kinswomen might have something, however."

[Otaku Kitakuhime]

"I'm grateful, Dong-Ha-san. I'll try and reach them." Looking back to him, she notices there was something still in the air.

She turns to Khulun, still with her blade in hand, and asks, "If Khulun-san would like, I understand Dong-Ha-san could understand more about the blade you carry."

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Chi-Pu mimics the bow

"Something does not seem right to me about all of this. It feels...strange, Otaku-sama."

She cracks her knuckles

"I do not like it. What if we have rode our people into another trap, like the City of Sorcerers?"

“You think we are in dark place still and this is all a trap?” she says thoughtfully.

Chi-Pu frowns

"I am not sure, Moto-san. Think of how many yesterday were sick. And then this beast attacks. In the morning I met a 'Moshi' who was telling fortunes on the side of the street like a common sorceress. She said it was what priests do here but it just reminded me of the stories the Otaku tell of the City of Sorcerers."

Chi-Pu thinks a bit more.

"Then there are many who seem to begin to tell a story only to stop halfway through, saying it is not something to speak of. If we are here to rejoin our home, why not tell us all? The Unicorn freely share their stories. Then the herald you saw last night."

Chi-Pu rests a hand on her hip and looks to all gathered.

"It all makes me very uneasy."

She turns to Khulun, still with her blade in hand, and asks, "If Khulun-san would like, I understand Dong-Ha-san could understand more about the blade you carry."

"With your permission Moto-san?" Dong-Ha turned towards Khulun.

"Maybe they are cowards, afraid of the Dark," she says dismissively.

"Great Dong-Ha, have at it," she agrees.

He wasn't still sure about being great, but repeated the ritual he had performed on the piece of ivory. Moments later the amber piece was glowing as Dong-Ha's eyes were keen on the amulet.

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

Snapping out from the reverie, Dong-Ha spoke. "Minor nemurenai... a magic weapon. Forged with blood magic. So... that would mean that the sword's originally crafted by the Isawa? And as Moto-san said, the blade cuts true and its wounds refuse to heal. But why would Phoenix make such a weapon?"

“Phoenix like peace yes? Perhaps they make for another clan as gift?” she says with a shrug.

“All that matters is that Massacre is keen and impeccablu.”

"Do you think we could ask the Phoenix to make more?"

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"That might not be a bad idea, seeing how effective they are." Iuchi mused. "Perhaps we should have Otaku-sama discuss the topic with them? With no disrespect, Otaku-sama." He bowed at Kitakuhime. "But Otaku-sama would likely have the best leverage."

"We should consult Dong-Ha-san's peers and Dabo-sama before asking such a thing from them. Besides, asking a favor means owing a favor. We should not compromise anything until the end of the miai."
