D1 LE - After Dinner Walk

[Shimizu Ryori]

Chi-Pu smiles brightly again

"Ah, Khulun-san. She is a Moto through and through. In time you will come to appreciate and understand her. It took the Unicorn some time ourselves, so the stories go. I met another Beastmaster at supper. She said she trained with you. Matsu... Kogo-san?"

"Hai, I hope /she/ did not invite /you/ to tell her bedtime stories?"

He chuckles

" Kogo-san is a very honorable and upstanding samurai ko and has been a friend and mentor to me for many years"

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

"No, but she did say her lion snores. Perhaps I should tell her stories to help drown out the noise?"

[Shimizu Ryori]

"Moto San was concerned about how much oak was in my staff and invited me to come tell her stories in the future" he sighs "I think it was a very different type of conversation"

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Chi-Pu chuck;es again

"Oh, Shimizu-san..."

She looks the man up and down

"I sometimes forget how young some of you are. She was saying she liked you!"

[Shimizu Ryori]

He raises himself to his full height "I am not young, I am 15 and a half"

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Chi-Pu continues to smile

"Compared to me, almost everyone here is young, Shimizu-san. I am 21. The oldest of all the Unicorn to be wed at this Miai, and I would dare say the oldest of any of the clan candidates."

She sighs a little and her stomach gurgle again

"Shrimp..ughhhh."

[Shimizu Ryori]

He looks at the moon again "21 isn't that old, I am sure you had very valid reasons for waiting I understand it has been a harrowing few years for your people"

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

"Tradition in the Battle Maidens is we do not start a family until our first steed is ready to retire. This generally puts moat Shiotome around my age when they start a family."

She too looks back to the moon, her stomach quieting

"Due to the unique situation however, the other Otaku with me are being asked to forgo that tradition. Luckily we are still allowed back to our Shiotome duties after our children are weened"

[Shimizu Ryori]

"Technically they are only being asked to marry, they are not being required to start families."

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Chi-Pu stays silent for a moment upon hearing the Lions words.

After a short break in time she asks

"Shimizu-san, in the Empire, does getting married not include, well, sex, as a wedding night rite?"

[Shimizu Ryori]

"In some families traditions there can be as much as a year, or two between the formal engagement and when the couple comes together. A lot depends on the state of war in the empire and the ages of those involved"

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Chi-Pu nods at the answer and hums a little.

"I see."

A little more finger tapping at her lip and the Maiden blurts out

"But how could you wait that long?"

[Shimizu Ryori]

"Why would it be difficult?"

[Otaku Chi-Pu]

Chi-Pu blushes brightly, her face almost glowing with redness.

"B...Because sex feels good and you've waited so long already? Once you know you are to be married, how could you wait any instant longer?"

[Shimizu Ryori]

"Duty? If you have waited this long and Duty demands you wait longer, then honor would require you to comply, this is Byshi-do"
