[D1 LA] Short Lesson Before Dinner

"Awww, you don't want me to see one of my 'dreams' become reality?" Tomoe giggled and started to fiddle with her jingasa as she prepared to put it back on.

"A boy that is fit for the saddle will make a good son for a Unicorn woman, Hirase-san." Yue looked to the sky, lost in her own thoughts for a moment. Hopefully whoever marries this man is okay with adopting a child.

Her eyes turned to Hikazume. "Let us not forget your lesson, Hirase-san."

"Indeed. I can't very well retain my status as awe-inspiring perfect parent if I am in utter ignorance." A flicker of good humor sparkled in Hirase's gaze as he moved from the horse's neck with on last pat. At it's side, he studied the angles and then, with a determined expression, tried to get his right foot in the stirrup with out too much indignity.

Fei nearly smirked for a moment there but held it back, "It would be the best time to do so. Give yourself that extra edge, need, to not fall off," she amused herself with a tease.

As Gokiburi stepped back and forth a bit he reminded Fei how restless he was getting just sitting there with a loud snort. Though it wasn't really just Gokiburi, Fei herself had come out here to enjoy a ride after all. With a light tug she calmed him, a silent promise they'd ride soon.

Nodding at the mention of it getting close to time for the feat, he looks back at the village. "Of course. I'll walk you back. I'll have to put Meushi up in the stables before hand. I'd be glad to meet once more sometime soon Ko... Matsu-san."

Monkhbaatar starts heading towards the village to prepare for the evening's festivities.

With an act of will, Hirase's shoulders settled, leaving their raised tense posture to something softer, though a canny observer could still read the hint of nervousness there.

"Like a poorly loaded pack will set off one's feet on a steep hill, neh?" Instead of nodding, he made a contemplative 'Mmm." sound. "Is there anything else a rider should do to make the task for the horse easier? It seems only fair, given that they do all of the hard work."

Kogo follows him towards the festivities, clucking at Noburu to follow.
