Yuuru nodded and bowed to Liu Fei as the groups merged.

Yue turned and gave her sister a deep bow as well.

Colorful words this one has, she thought in regards to Suteichi.

"How goes," she started; she caught herself from excluding the others from the conversation. "Is your training going well, oneesan?" While speaking to her, her eye subtly shifted towards Suteichi as to communicate her interest in him to Fei.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Hmm..that was a strange tongue she spoke...

"Your honored sister here has demonstrated great mastery with the naginata as you have demonstrated your talent with the tetsubo. I confess being inspired to wanting to learn more weapon skill." Suteichi spoke. He focused a bit more attention at Liu Fei though he did not allow a full smile on his face.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

When bowed to by the Scorpion, she bowed.

There was a question embedded for Yue in Fei's eyes when she made her little subtle gesture. A look, simple but kept the other two out of the conversation without being quite so direct about it. Searching for the intent behind her interest, be it that alone or simply Yue's way of searching for this answer, "This morning has been going well so far, Yue."

Glancing to Suteichi for only a moment, "Bayushi-sama has an eye for martial talent."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Hai. Oneesan is skilled," she said, smiling brightly at Fei. Her words were simple but she meant them truly as ones of admiration.

The younger Unicorn nodded at Fei and then turned to the Bayushi. She was still hoping to assess his capabilities. "What are you trained in, Suteichi-dono?"

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"The knife, Shinjo-sama." Suteichi simply answered. "Of course not the traditional weapon of such formidable warriors such as you and your sister but it is sufficient, quick, subtle. It is the weapon that receives much disrespect but it can also give much disrespect to the unsuspecting foe."

[Shinjo Hanashi]

Finally coming to a rest, Hanashi sheathes his blade and bows a bit.

"Thank you! Should be room again without danger of being accidentally stabbed by a one-eyed Shinjo!"

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"A knife?" Yue swallowed, scolding herself internally for questioning it. He was being held to a higher standard, after all. "Hai. It is not traditional, Suteichi-dono. However, to underestimate a weapon is a great folly." She smirked. "The knife is not a good weapon on horseback. It is a fine weaopn to draw if dismounted, Suteichi-dono."

While her sister and Suteichi discussed things, Fei looked off to the side toward Hanashi, deciding on a quick quip, "Do you accidentally stab people often?"

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"A knife?" Yue swallowed, scolding herself internally for questioning it. He was being held to a higher standard, after all. "Hai. It is not traditional, Suteichi-dono. However, to underestimate a weapon is a great folly." She smirked. "The knife is not a good weapon on horseback. It is a fine weaopn to draw if dismounted, Suteichi-dono."

"You get no argument out of me on that, Lady Shinjo-sama. I admit my ignorance of the art of battling on horseback. It does serve a great purpose. The thunderous sound of hooves, the wind in your hair, the might of steel drawn, and the look of complete terror in your enemies eyes as they know that their doom is coming. The knife is unassuming. There is no thunderous sound, no wind in your hair. Just the subtle, calm, cold intent that is awaiting your enemy. When the knife finds itself inside the enemy it is too late for them."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

The man loves his colorful language. Don't tell me my sis just wants thst after making a fuss about not wanting to be a flower.

Maybe she just likes being the stronger one.

"I look forward to seeing your knife demonstration, Suteichi-dono." She wondered if he understood that she wanted actions over words. She looked him over conspicuously, sizing him up more. "Is the knife the typical weapon of your dojo?"

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"The fan is. I am a student of the court. The knife is my enemy's usher to meido."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Sou desu ka." She blinked. "And the tetsubo is my enemy's usher to meido," she repeated, following his enunciation.
