A Few Words Before We Go (D11, EA, Ameka's Yurt)

[Doji Ameka]

"Hai," she agrees, her smile apparent in her voice. "I think at least we need to visit her shrine and pay respects."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"It's definitely going on the schedule. Are there any near your home?" he asks curiously.

[Doji Ameka]

She smiled broadly and leaned back to look up at him. "Benten Seido is the largest shrine to Benten in the Empire. It's not too far south of Kyuden Doji. There are smaller shrines closer, of course, but we should spare a detour that direction."

"Is it? Then it sound s like that's where we'll go. We can probably make that e regular stop in between travels," he says with a nod.

After another brief pause, where he just looks at her a bit letting it sink in that she's going to be his wife, he speaks once more. "This is difficult, I must admit. I want nothing more than to keep speaking with and learning about you. But I also find myself simply wanting to kiss you again... and more."

He leans in and puts his lips on her neck, taking in he scent and enjoying the closeness.

She looks up at him curiously as he took the time to let the information sink in. She, for the moment, just basked in the feeling of lightness and hope that the morning's events, at least for her, had left her with. Her heart was still heavy for those who faced difficulty and heartbreak, but the moment left it in the back of her mind. She couldn't help them right now. But she could be fully present in the moment, with this handsome man who had shown so much understanding.

She closed her eyes as e kissed her neck. "There will be all the time in the world for both." There was time now... so much more than she had expected to have. She traced her fingers over his neck, leaning her head slightly to murmur against his ear. "And we will have quite a bit of travel ahead where speaking and getting to know one another will be easier than the other..."

His lips part from her neck and his eyes wander, drawing the outline of her body and beginning to memorize her face. "An excellent observation." He cradles her in his arms as he stands and moves toward the bed.

"We should definitely make sure to use our time wisely, effectively and in a way that we'll enjoy." Laying her down, he leans over and kisses her.

She's incredibly lightly as he picks her up, more than her height would imply. Her arms don't leave his neck once he lowers her to the bed, not quite willing to leave the contact. She blushes as he looks down at her, but meets his eyes with a smile. When their lips meet, she returns it with enthusiasm. In a brief moment of their lips parting, and one of the few in the time that followed, she said, "I thought it seemed reasonable..."

"Very reasonable... and very pleasant. It looks like I'll get to do some exploration and see some new and lovely sights." He sets his mind to the task at hand and takes his time with the smaller, more fragile Crane.
