Same here.

I also enjoyed all the new folks making a big impact :) It was really nice to see and I enjoyed the atmosphere.

Maybe one day I'll get through a whole game without some RL shenanigans causing interruption (although at least these ones were mostly the good kind).

I've really been enjoying Stellaris, have wasted many many hours on it. The scripted events and world building and colonization is really fun. But yeah, the space combat seems to be mainly building a big stack of ships and throwing them at neighboring empires and seeing who has the bigger stack of ships.
