I tried to get into Divinity, OS, but I just bounced off it. Combat was interesting, but I couldn't find a plot and it was very open-ended and vague, with segments that felt very "I WAS A KICKSTARTER REWARD" and in the end I just kinda never found a point of contact to attach to.

Same here. It just felt kind uninteresting and boring to me, and controlling two characters was awkward. I really think I would have enjoyed it more if they had let me solo it, but oh well.

I experienced the same thing the first time I played it.

Good thing about Larian is that they implemented the criticism and Divinity 2 is shaping to be a pretty amazing game.

I like how you can solve problems in multiple ways or how the spells interact with each other. Divinity 2 will focus heavily on this but even on 1 there is that layer of complexity that makes me squee with glee.

Indeed, I sometimes think the story of Divinity OS is a bit cliche and boring. DOS 2 is looking much better in every aspect but then again, they were super funded so its only normal.
