Dog and Dragonfly (day 8 early morning, Misa's room)

[Moto Baatar]

"Huh! Your hearing must be very good, then," Baatar said. "Can you tell when people are sneaking up on you? Maybe you'd be good at fighting ninja, too!"

[Tonbo Misa]

"Feeling a person's heart in front of you in a duel is a bit different than listening for a sneaking assassin." Misa grinned. "Though as far as I know, I've never been around one. I could be really good."

[Moto Baatar]

"Ohh, no, you could still stand some improvement. Your super Dragon senses didn't detect any of the ninja assassins that were after you the other day," Baatar said glibly, trying not to laugh. "If I hadn't come along you would've been in real trouble!"

[Tonbo Misa]

"As I said then, it is good you came. Perhaps when you make it to Kyuden Tonbo, you'll find all sorts of ninja hiding in the wood work!" She gave a mock serious nod.

[Moto Baatar]

"I hear there's a special kind of incense you can burn to smoke them out of the wood," Baatar recalled thoughtfully. "Or maybe that was for termites, which are almost as bad."

[Tonbo Misa]

"I'm certain if anyone would have such incense, it would be someone in the Dragon. So it would work out well." The two dogs almost barked over her at the end, but having Sanmi to look after the two kept them a bit quieter. It seemed she was used to puppies.

[Moto Baatar]

"The dogs seem to have become friends," Baatar commented as Sanmi hushed them. "Do you have a lot of dogs in Tonbovia? I bet having a puppy would be a comforting thing, up in the mountains."

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa shook her head softly. "There aren't many dogs back home, no. The Tonbo have never been well off, so keeping a pet isn't something most add as a burden, for the animal's sake. There are more cats, since they take care of themselves more... and there are always mice."

[Moto Baatar]

"Oh, that's too bad," Baatar commiserated. "Cats are good at taking care of themselves, but dogs are more loyal. They'll warn you if enemies approach, and they'll stay by your side even through the worst of dangers."

"Well, hopefully with a little luck maybe we'll both get to take a puppy home."

[Tonbo Misa]

Misa smiled and nodded, listening to the puppies for a moment. She spoke in a softly playful tone finally. "I believe I'll be bringing home loyalty regardless, hai."
