Absolutely undignified (Day 1, Late Evening)

[Shinjo Akil]

Akil had slipped away from the dinner as soon as it was politely possible for him to do so. Good thing, too, because he was swiftly realizing that he was growing more and more ill. And so he found himself sitting next to his yurt, a bucket near at hand just in case as he held his stomach woozily. A waterskin was popped open next to him, and he would take regular drinks from it. I never had these issues with normal food. Good thing I have no reason to ride Setem tonight.

[Yogo Mizuki]

A queasy Scorpion appears. She makes a VERY slow and deliberate bow. Hello, Shinjo-san.

[Shinjo Akil]

Akil straightens himself up for company. Oh, why now for company? He bowed with that same deliberate pace, biting his lips as he did so. "Yogo-sama. This one hopes that the evening is comfortable."

[Yogo Mizuki]

Absolutely. That... what was is called... milk? It was quite delicious. I'm feeling great. Yep. Scorpions can lie good.

[Shinjo Akil]

"I do enjoy milk on occasion," He smiled, believing her utterly then taking a light drink from his waterskin. "Would you like some water? Maybe some kumis? I am sure Moto Butaj-san is around here somewhere and he is certain to have some."

[Moto Butaj]

Nearby, wild Butaj appears! Not so wild in fact, with enough food and kumis in his system to weigh down three men, not just Butaj. Melancholically disposed, he sits by the fire not far away from his tent with morin khur in hands. Looking into the flames he strums gently and ponders what to play.

[Yogo Mizuki]

Not even wanting to know what kumis is, and not trusting her stomach with even water. I thank you for the offer, but I am just so full from the dinner. Looking for a way to change the subject from food, she looks around and notices the Moto.

Oh. What sort of instrument is that that your Clansman has?

[Shinjo Akil]

"Of course," he nodded, smiling a bit as he looked to the Moto she noted. "Ah yes, speaking of Butaj-san. He is playing a morin khur. I believe it is a favored Moto instrument? Though you would have to ask him."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki had been told that to hear stories she had to find Moto Butaj, and there was only one place that it made sense to her to find a Unicorn, at the Unicorn yurts.

Her search was aided by the sound of a stringed instrument that led her to find the Moto, sitting and playing. The woman approached, somewhat cautiously, expectant but not knowing if this was the man she was looking for. She quietly waited while the man played.

[Yogo Mizuki]

"Of course," he nodded, smiling a bit as he looked to the Moto she noted. "Ah yes, speaking of Butaj-san. He is playing a morin khur. I believe it is a favored Moto instrument? Though you would have to ask him."

Hm. I guess I never considered what instruments gaijin would have. Do you play anything?

[Shinjo Akil]

He nodded, producing a flute from his right hip. "I have some skill in the flute, as it happens. It is what I used to pass the time when we were camped. Music was... good for morale."

[Yogo Mizuki]

Oh? I heard the Unicorn had some trouble before making it to the Empire, but I do not the details? Was it the Yojaban? They attacked the Empire a while ago.

[Moto Butaj]

Butaj is too engrossed in his musical soul-searching to notice the curious yet cautious Phoenix woman. At some point, however, he makes up his mind and begins to sing and play a fast Moto song.

[Seppun Hideo]

Drawn in by the odd sound of music, Hideo had made his way towards the tents on the northwestern side of the village. The strange instruments certainly made for a better sound than the sounds of those at nearby tents who couldn't stomach the food the Unicorn provided.

He paused near the man, listening to the music and watching. Remaining quiet while the man played.

Oh? I heard the Unicorn had some trouble before making it to the Empire, but I do not the details? Was it the Yojaban? They attacked the Empire a while ago.

"Several factors, in fact," his face turned to a frown, "though I do not remember any tribes that called themselves Yobanjin. Certainly they were not responsible for the loss we faced when we returned to home."
