A wandering Matsu, I (D9, EE, Expecting)

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo takes a breath, unsure if it is relief or sadness. "You are, no doubt correct, Akil-san. My judgement in these matters....I will call hopelessly compromised."

[Shinjo Akil]

"My judgment is not exactly exceptional either," he noted to her, "Which I suppose makes walks like this easier."

[Matsu Kogo]

She raises an eyebrow. "Easier? How so?"

[Shinjo Akil]

"Much easier to maintain control in public," he offered.

[Matsu Kogo]

Its almost ludicrous to even say Kogo was blushing anymore. The redness was fast becoming a permanent fixture. People would be amazed years from now at the tale of the permanently red Matsu. She would be a circus attraction, for sure.


"Ahhh. That kind of easier." She thinks for a moment. "There is...something to what you say."

[Shinjo Akil]

He nodded at her words. "I'd like to think that I occasionally play at wisdom."

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles, teasing. "I suspect you play at many things. But there is wisdom in what you say." She looks to his flute. "Perhaps you could play something else? Your choosing."

[Shinjo Akil]

He thought about the idea of songs. "Perhaps I could try an art other than my flute?" He offered, "I have been practicing some other things, and it'd be good to stay diverse."

[Matsu Kogo]

"That would be lovely Akil-san. I would be glad to know more of your skills." She said, with a smile.

[Shinjo Akil]

Akil stopped and considered carefully. "Hm...

"Haiku are so hard
I don't know why I thought this
was going to be easy."

He blinked a moment as he realized that 1) the last line had too many syllables and 2) if Fukawa had heard that she might well disown him.

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo broke into laughter, smiling at him. "Ahh Akil-san, you are the true poet amongst us. I must withdraw myself from the competition when you enter it." She reached a hand out towards him, as if to touch him for a brief moment and share the laughter, but withdraws it, thinking better. The smile still remains.

[Shinjo Akil]

He blushed a bit at her laughter. "It's... a work in progress..."

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles. "As are we all, Akil-kun. As are we all." Her eyes dance as she looks at him. "Perhaps, for your troubles, I should share something in return?"

[Shinjo Akil]

He blinked at that. "You... are always welcome to share with me, Kogo-chan..."

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles and launches into her own bad poetry.
