He chuckled and leaned a couple inches back, "That is a great question..."

He thought for a good moment, "There's a type of chrysanthemum that grows in the Shinomen... Grows in the strangest places, places that you'd have no idea how it got there... and it all types of dirt. It's called a saru-kusamura, or 'monkey bush flower'. I've always kind of liked it... it's adaptable, a little wild, and ends up in some weird places."

"A thoughtful answer; I would not have expected you to also pick a flower, but your reasoning is moving."

He chuckled, "What would you have picked?"

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"I dunno... something strong and bushy. A red maple perhaps."

She gave a nod, "At least from what little I know about Rokugani plants. But there are a lot of red maples west of here; Smooth bark, pleasant shapes, striking color..."

He smiled, "I can accept that assessment. Also firm and resolute. One can lean upon a maple and trust it not to fall over."

He chuckled, "Spend so much time climbing trees but never thought to compare myself to one... Should we end up together we should plant a maple tree on our property. Something to remember this moment by."

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"I would like that," Yuka says with a smile, sitting up a little and kissing his forehead before standing fully.

"That said, I should be leaving here soon, neh?"

He smiled and nodded while slowly leaning back to a less intrusive distance, "Unfortunately... yes. I suppose you should."
