He nods in agreement. "That would be welcome Kogo-san. Very much so."

She looks down at their hands for a moment. "I am glad to have finally spoken of more certainty. Your commitment to honor and the honor of your future wife has moved me for some time. With these new rumors flying around the camp, such a commitment and discipline is valued by me more than ever."

"It's important to me. I understand that my clan mates are passionate individuals. I can be as well. This just doesn't seem like the proper time for such with the future being in question. Perhaps they want to avoid regrets... but that mindset makes no sense to me. How could a person regret keeping themselves proper in the presence of their future spouse?"

She looks up at him. "Yes, I had spoken to one of your clan mates who said that these sorts of liasons are...more common in the Unicorn. They are more complicated in Rokugan I suspect. And the standings make everything quite a mess. I find myself wishing they didn't exist. Then at least one thing would be simpler."

Or maybe two or three or four. Curse these standings. They do nothing but muddle my head.

Finally he takes the fan and spreads it open, admiring it for a moment. After a bit, he closes it back up and tucks it into his obi for safekeeping. "They certainly make committing to any future quite difficult."

She smiles at his admiration, taking it into her heart as a compliment. She nods to his statement. "They do, but perhaps I will try to take some of your own excellent wisdom to heart and live in the present. It seems...particularly prudent. And in the present, I am looking forward to our jiujitsu lesson tomorrow. "

"It's something I'm looking forward to as well. A bit of exercise and practice, plus a bit more time spent with you. It should make for an enjoyable time," he replies with a nod.

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles and nods as well. "Speaking of time, I suspect we are running short on it this morning. Though I would wish to sit and chat longer, I must be getting on. Would you like another sweet before you go?" She says, smiling mischievously.
I must go see that diviner and find what my future holds.

"I would. Am I going to have to storm the fortress to get one," he replies with a smirk.

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles at him. "This time, I will make it easy. The next, likely not." She holds a sweet out in her hands, playful like.

When she holds out her hand he reaches out his own and cups hers in it. With her hand between his and the treat, he smiles playfully. With a quick bump of his hand the sweet is tossed into the air, and he catches it in his mouth. "Got me eating out of your hand eh?"

[Matsu Kogo]

She laughs at his playfulness. "You are too much Monkh-san." Truly, this is so much nicer. Duty and pleasure, mixed in perfect balance. I could be happy here, easily. Her eyes light. "You say it as if I am not as...intrigued as you are. I would not wish you to start bending the truth now."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"Just an observation," he says, after finishing the sweet. "Nothing more or less." He smiles at her before standing and bowing. "Well then, I'll take my leave and wish you a wonderful day."

[Matsu Kogo]

She sighs internally for a moment. She stands and bows to him in return. "The same to you Monkh-san. Til tomorrow and our continued learning together."

"Til tomorrow and the day after and the day after," he says happily before heading out.
