"They keep their animals closer than we are used to and more of them, which makes sense as they use them for so many things," says Nonin. "These also leads them to favor different materials for clothes and such and for food, things that seem odd or off to us."

"Hmm, I could see that being some trouble if people pushed the matter. Tell me, as a priest, do you find any of their practices blasphemous?"

[Isawa Nonin]

Nonin paused and pondered. "No, some may require new purification rituals to be developed but there is nothing I have seen that would aid the Dark."

"This is a good sign. It is my hope that all of the ways of the Unicorn, no matter how different, are accepted by the Empire, and that the Unicorn also accept our ways. To know that their practices will not be deemed heretical in the eyes of the Empires priests helps ease my mind"

[Isawa Nonin]

"Now, I have had only superficial contact with their traditions, Miya-sama, so there may be one or two that need to be purged completely,"add Nonin. "But I hope not."

[Miya Mei]

"Let us pray that need not happen. The Unicorn seem a very headstrong people, and to tell them to not do something they have for years might be met with hostility."

[Isawa Nonin]

"Agreed, if there is something, we will have to guide them to a better way, not confront them," says Nonin. "Luckily, they want to learn our ways, which are their ways too, or will be."

[Miya Mei]

"I am most curious as to what made them return to the Empire in such haste. Have you heard of anything?"

[Isawa Nonin]

"I heard that one of the Togashi found a mirror which allowed her to contact the Unicorn and guide them home, but I know little beyond that," he said.

[Miya Mei]

"A mirror that let people communicate that far of a distance? That seems quite a valuable trinket. I would love to see it someday"

[Isawa Nonin]

"As would I, it is suppose to date from the founding Kami," says Nonin.

[Miya Mei]

"Such a treasured relic. We are fortunate to have it back"

[Isawa Nonin]

"Truth, Miya-sama," nods Nonin. "We live in a unique time, one of great promise and great danger."

[Miya Mei]

"Indeed. Speaking of, are there any major threats the Phoenix have been facing? It is known a duty of the Miya to spread news, but we also take back what we learn to the Imperial City."

"Sadly, I have little new information for you, Miya-sama," says Nonin. "We are still mourning the loss of the Master of Void but we continue forward."
