Udo nods. "I am glad it is going well for you. It is nice to see someone with a chipper attitude."

The way he says someone implies he probably means something specific (in this case, Scorpion), and the way he says chipper makes it apparent he isn't in a good mood himself.

"We shall see tomorrow, right?" The Moshi smiled. "I wonder how this would work in a Taryu jiai?"

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"Tomorrow then, Moshi-san." Dong-Ha offered the diviner a bow. "I am burning with curiosity, to be honest. I want to understand how this land... works." There was almost dangerous gleam in his eyes as he spoke.

[Moshi Asakiko]

"Do you know any other shugenja hat might be interested in a contest of magic?" The Moshi ask in curiousity.

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"Alas, we don't so such things." Dong-Ha shook his head. "It'd be a contest of who can read a word faster, more or less. With my magic... I could cast down a man with a single word. But why would I do it, unless I had to defend myself?" he asked, unfamiliar with the dueling traditions of the Empire.

[Moshi Asakiko]

The Moshi shook her head. "Are you familiar with of the art of dueling, Iuchi sama?" It is the best way to explain it.

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"Uh... the art where two samurai stare each other for a while, and then one cuts the other down?" he suggested.

[Moshi Asakiko]

"Something like that..." The Moshi smiled. "Taryu jiai is something like that a contest of magic. There is a type called avatar summoning as the avatars do the actual damage to the other avatar." She explained.

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"Uh, and that is a common sport in the Empire? I have never heard of magic like that." Dong-Ha admitted. "But it sounds... fascinating."

[Moshi Asakiko]

"It is a way for two shugenja to duel when they have no champion." The Moshi continued her explanation. "Perhaps I can ask Isawa sama for a demonstration."

"If it's not dangerous... I would be delighted to see it." The Iuchi's eyes had an ominous gleam to them as he contemplated the matter. "No danger to the priests... but what about those watching?"

[Moshi Asakiko]

"There is no danger to them either as the avatars can be easily dismissed." The Moshi explained. " The avatars are elemental spirits taking the form given by the wielder."

"So the bystanders are perfectly safe?"
