It's Always Summer Under The Sea (D5, LE, Tomoe's)

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki smiled a little. "Well maybe if you do end up with the Unicorn, you can get a horse of your own, and ride all the way to the coast, neh?"

The topic of a large family got Yuki to pause. "I... no. I think... I'd like a small family, actually. What about you, Usagi-san?"

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Hm... I think I would like a big family, now that I think of it. I only had an older sister growing up, and losing her and mother... well, it's been lonely with just me and father. Not that I haven't enjoyed growing up with the other young ones among the Hare, but family is different." She blushed again. "If my potential husband doesn't object to a large family, that is."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki nodded. "It can be nice, I suppose. Though it comes with it's own challenges. Even with the same blood, not everybody is going to get along." She frowned slightly. Talk of a potential husband approving reminded Yuki of her conversation earlier that day where she learned about how such a family would be made that she blushed as well. "I hope that you can get your wish though, Usagi-san. Everyone deserves that much."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Thank you. And I hope you will have the match you hope for, Asako-san... I hope as many as possible will leave this miai with happy betrothals, to be honest." She knew it wasn't likely to happen, with the way things were, but she still hoped for it.

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki blushed. "Hai. I hope so as well. It is no good to have an unhappy marriage. That wouldn't help anyone." She smiled warmly. "I hope Usagi-san especially manages to find a happy ending."

[Usagi Tomoe]

She smiled happily in return. "Thank you. And if there's anything I can do to help you, Asako-san, you need only ask. It seems we have interests in different men, so I don't feel like we have a conflict of interest either..." the Hare offered to the Phoenix.

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki paused at that, her face suddenly a little uncertain. "Ano... actually. It is a little personal though..." She frowned a bit, her hands moving over one another in earnest discomfort. "I'll understand if you don't want to answer."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Tomoe gave a reassuring smile the Asako. "I will do my best to answer, Asako-san... what is on your mind?"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki continued to be flustered. But she *had* to ask another woman about this.

"Ano... well... it's about children."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Tomoe blinked a few times. "That is... uhm... a rather broad topic." Birth, raising them, concieving them... lots of stuff, really. "I don't have any myself, so I don't have much experience on the subject," she said with a wry smile, "but I have assisted a midwife once... so, hm, what is it that you want to know?"

[Asako Yuki]

"Umm..." Yuki's face started to grow a deep red in embarrassment. "Usagi-sama has to promise never to tell anyone I asked, ok?"

[Usagi Tomoe]

The Asako's blush was setting off warning signals, but the Hare nodded. "... You have my word, Asako-sama. I will not repeat this conversation to anyone."

[Asako Yuki]

"Ano..." Yuki played with her hands even more now. "Usagi-sama knows that... children don't come from when the parents pray to the fortunes, right?"

[Usagi Tomoe]

". . ."

Tomoe thanked her training with the Asako which helped her maintain a rather polite, if neutral, smile.

"Well, uhm, couples might pray to the Fortunes for fertility, or for healthy children, but... the Fortunes don't have much to do with the actual... act... of creating children." Even the Hare was blushing now. Apart from maybe saying "Oh my Fortunes" or something like they do in the pillowbooks.

[Asako Yuki]

"Has... has Usagi-sama ever heard of something like that, maybe?" Yuki was looking at the ground, but she had to know if it was just her. It was all that carried her through the embarrassment.
