[Day 6 Late Evening, Khulun Yurt] Scandalous

[Matsu Nintoku]

His eyes shifted back at her, his eyes narrowing at his referral as a 'mighty lion'.

"I was merely looking at you," he frowned with the same blush still flaring. "Wanted to make sure you didn't have anything broken after the other day."

[Moto Khulun]

She feigns swooning and affects her best Crane accent and says, “Oh just my poor heart is broken.”

Khulun puts her hand to her head and says, “I feel a need to feint.”

[Matsu Nintoku]

The kumis had clearly dulled the Lion's senses as the sarcasm had not been detected; as such the Lion quickly sprung from the furs ready to catch the Moto only to feel ashamed for his stupidity when he paid attention to her words.

He sighed in annoyance as a smile begun to surface and paced towards the Moto. "Oh good," he said in a baritone trying to exaggerate the Moto accent. "If you feint it makes it easier to strap you to my horse. It is known."

[Moto Khulun]

She laughs at his words, “I hope you have a strong horse, if you are going to steal me away.”

She calms herself and says, “You are funny man.”

[Matsu Nintoku]

"Been called a lot of things but I think this is the first time I've been called funny," he said with a chuckle. "I guess you bring that out of me."

[Moto Khulun]

“So what do your friends call you?” Khulun asks.

[Matsu Nintoku]

"Depends," he paused to think about the friends he has made during this miai. "Usagi Tomoe and Matsu Kogo are probably the few friends I've made during this miai. I am sure Usagi Tomoe thinks I am a grump and does seem to go to great lengths to tease me although I pretend I do not notice as one would do with a silly younger siblings. Matsu Kogo probably thinks I am a Matsu paragon."

He shrugged "Had never given it much thought."

[Moto Khulun]

"Are those your only friends?" she says with confusion.

[Matsu Nintoku]

"I..." he frowned "I am not a very sociable person."

"When I was younger everyone knew me as the young kuge so most people maintained their distance and when I grew up and achieved my... fame most people saw me simply as unapproachable," his tone betrayed some sadness. "I made some friends but they simply, well, had their glorious fate." he raised an invisible cup to toast for their memory.

[Moto Khulun]

“I have had friends die… including Otaku-nikutai,” she says.

“I have many friends, but I am not surprised that you did not. You don’t seem… the type to enjoy being around people.”

[Matsu Nintoku]

The Matsu rose his imaginary cup at the mention of the Otaku "A good death"


"I don't?" he said tentatively "I guess I'm not very approachable but I do not mind other people."

"Well how did you come to be friends with Rabbit-sensei?" she says.

[Matsu Nintoku]

"It was in the first day during the opening ceremony," he begun to explain. "She approached me together with Matsu Kogo-san since I was apart from most of the people and, well, not mingling."

"Wait," he blinked in realization. "rabbit-sensei? What is she teaching you?"

[Moto Khulun]

"She knows things, I ask her and she teaches me things," Khulun replies.

"Smart words, little girl."

[Matsu Nintoku]

"Is she teaching you about our histo..." then it dawned on him; her earlier conversation with the Usagi and how she egged him to be more candid with his feelings regarding the Moto.

"You two talked about me," he stated.
