Lesson Number One (Day 4, Late Morning)

As today's event wasn't something she thought she would do well at, Tomoe decided to let luck go to those who had a better chance... as she would spend time in the dojo instead to practice what Nintoku had taught her. Or rather, try to practice at least as well as she could on her own.

And so the rabbit calmly went through the warm-up excersises, making sure not to stress herself too much since she was in the dojo on her own.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Honestly, while there was certainly a desire to compete against her fellow Bushi to impress potential matches. Liu Fei could hardly say that hunting eggs seemed like something worthy of her time. Sure, there was some probably greater aspect to what seemed largely like well... honestly a game. She could also, instead, just be the properly disciplined Bushi she was.

So, that was why she was here at the Dojo this morning. Dressed more fully with the weather letting up a bit with Naginata in hand she entered. Bowed to those she passed and took place on a mat beside a... well, honestly she couldn't recall if she had met one of these minor clanners yet. Apparently the Empire had gained quite a number of them she was starting to wonder if someone had come here to pretend to be an entirely new Minor Clan how far they would make it before someone realized.

"Greetings, Samurai-sama," she said with a simple bow to the woman. Stepping off to her space and preparing herself for some basic warm up.

[Usagi Tomoe]

Tomoe took a break from her routine to bow to the newcomer. She couldn't recall meeting this one before, but she was polite nevertheless. "Greetings, Unicorn-sama. I hope my practice won't be in your way?"

[Moto Khulun]

On the steps of the dojo another Unicorn was working to hone her stance, a barbaric fur covered Moto was practicing the sacred art of Iaijutsu. Her stance was aggressive and her strike fierce but it was at least practiced.

Weasels and eggs did not interest her and she had been neglecting her training.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"As long as you know how to practice I imagine it will not," she said, tone flat but the nature of the words spoke well enough for her teasing for those who sought it. All the while Fei kept moving through the warm ups, but kept an eye on the other woman to see if she expected otherwise.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

Yue came to the dojo as she had arranged with Taira. She was wearing her standard leather outfit, her arm bare for wrestling. She gave her sister a short nod from a distance; she did not want to interrupt anything Fei was doing.

[Soshi Taira]

Her sparring partner also arrived, in hakama and gi. He had sufficiently recovered such that he didn't feel the need for the bandages on his head, instead opting for a red headscarf to act as both mask and covering.

Bowing to those gathered, he approached Liu Yue, giving her a smile, and a nod. That leather was going to take some getting used to, in more ways than one.

"Good morning, Liu Yue-hime. I see you are feeling well."

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Ohayou gozaimasu, Taira-dono," she said with a deep bow. For a brief moment, she turned over to her sister, wondering if Fei was catching any of their conversation. '-hime' is going to raise some questions from her, I'm sure of it.

"You are feeling better from yesterday," she continued, keeping it vague. She assumed that he would have sent a letter if he was still incapacitated. "Shall we begin?"

[Moto Khulun]

"Ohayou gozaimasu, Taira-dono," she said with a deep bow. For a brief moment, she turned over to her sister, wondering if Fei was catching any of their conversation. '-hime' is going to raise some questions from her, I'm sure of it.

"You are feeling better from yesterday," she continued, keeping it vague. She assumed that he would have sent a letter if he was still incapacitated. "Shall we begin?"

“Finally put those hips to work on the doctor, cousin,” the Moto says with a chuckle as she watches the two arrive.

“I was thinking about taking him home as my bride, but you two look far too cute together.”

[Soshi Taira]

Taira managed to avoid making any sounds of shock at the comment, but he did turn very red.

Oh kami it was like walking in on his sister with her first suitor kissing. Only worse.

He couldn't begin to think of a good thing to say, so flabbergasted was he.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

For her part, Yue fared better. Her cheeks were flushed but not nearly as obvious at Taira's. She swallowed any comment on the matter and decided to let it slide. Her bride? Oh goodness, this must be the Moto he had spoken of before.

Still, she gave Khulun a deep bow. "Ohayou gozaimasu. I hope your training is going well."

[Moto Khulun]

“It never ends like the sea, cousin, but today was a good morning. Have you come here to beat some sense into the Scorpion?” she says in a teasing manner.

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Taira-dono offered to teach me more about wrestling," she explained. This Moto is going to jump on that, I am sure of it. Even with that thought, she kept up her composure.

[Moto Khulun]

“I am sure he did,” she says looking at the Scorpion.

“A talented doctor and a fighter… well wrestler. What other talents has Sayyeda found in this Scorpion?” she asks.

[Soshi Taira]

Taira just began to stretch, expression set in stone, gaze affixed to the far wall while they discussed him like... a table or rug.
