Day 3 [EE] Animalistic Behavior (Expecting)

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Oh of course not. That is fruitful for no one. The mind is a terrible thing to waste but those who are a waste are just terrible things to even mind." Suteichi gave a slight raise of the eyebrow at the end of his droll statement.

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"...I hope my Clan has not given you any women you would consider in such a light, Bayushi-sama. I would hate to think my Clan would send such careless individuals to such an important event."

She watched his eyebrow raise with a mix of curiosity and trepidation.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"So far, those that I have met have been a delight such as yourself to speak to."

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"Ah. Well, I have certainly had opportunity to speak to many from the Scorpion these past few days, and every one has been a delight so far certainly."

She HOPED her cousins made a better impression than herself.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"My clansmen can be a bit...eccentric." He reached into his sleeve. "Might I interest you in some daifuku?"

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"Daifuku? Is that some sort of candy then, Bayushi-sama?"

She had certainly never heard of such out in the Sands.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Hai. It is a red bean paste. Quite sweet, I think you will find."

[Iuchi Yukarin]

Bean candy? Will wonders never cease!

Yukarin bows her head a bit before accepting the little soft thing; It felt silky against her fingertips, and even more so against her lips before she chewed it thoughtfully.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Tell me what you think of it."

[Iuchi Yukarin]

After giving a thorough taste, Yukarin gave him a smile, "I have never had the like, Bayushi-sama; It slightly reminds me of the honey-bread that one can find made various places in the Sands, but richer and milder. It is hard to put into words."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"So you like it?!"

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"Hai, quite a bit Bayushi-sama; Arigato."

.She smiled warmly, "I am just sorry I have no experience of my own to share with you in return."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Is not your company a gift enough to me Iuchi-sama?" he replied with his faint smile.

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"I-Is it?"

She blinks, blushing and pausing as she is in the middle of cleaning the sticky residue off her fingers.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Of course." he said with a polite nod. "I hope my company has been pleasant to the kind emissary?"
