Day 3 [EM] No Masks (Mizuki's Room: Private)

[Yogo Mizuki]

Mizuki nods and tries to repeat the name. "I will also keep an eye for any of the female Unicorns that might.... be a better match."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"I can appreciate that Yogo-sempai. Who would have thought we would be setting one another up?" he quipped.

[Yogo Mizuki]

"Hai. It does seem a little strange. Though I'd rather have your opinion than my family's." Mizuki almost seems apologetic even though there is no possibility that her family could hear. "Of course, I'm sure they would have found me a suitable spouse. It's just..." You would care about my happiness. "It's just that since my gempukku, our duties have torn us apart and you have seen more." Not even remotely a good save.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Yogo-sempai... Mizuki-chan," it was extremely rare like one of two times he ever called her by her name with chan. "We both have not seen one another for quite sometime. Together or apart, I would always have the utmost respect for you. We both deserve to be happy. Your opinion matters greatly to me. I am sure your family would want you to hurry up and get married." his quip came with a raised eyebrow.

[Yogo Mizuki]

Mizuki smiles at the name change. Suteichi could always be so formal even when they were alone. "Thank you. That means a lot." Mizuki was comforted that she was not entirely alone. "I honestly don't know. I guess they would want me to marry. My marriage was not something that was talked about. My brother's wedding mattered most. Of course, there is certain political factors to pay attention to when our daimyo is still childless." Mizuki simply shrugs. She's completely fine without trying to be position as a potential heir if the worst would happen.

"And how did your family react? I can imagine your mom would have some reservations."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"My mother as you know is a stickler for being right and proper. You know that she was hard on me considering that I was not rightly her child."

[Yogo Mizuki]

"Hai. I know" Mizuki is silent for a moment. "They care for us. In their own way. It just hurts them."

Mizuki smiles. "Besides, the end result was good."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Always is. I should tell Liu Fei the full on truth about me. I am just concerned she will not see me the same way anymore."

[Yogo Mizuki]

"I told her sister about my mom's Curse. The part that matters anyways. She seemed to take it pretty well."

Mizuki shrugs. "I guess time with the gaijin have made the Unicorn... more accepting of such things."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Perhaps. I don't know if Liu Fei would accept that I am really the son of a vassal Yogo and some common oiran to an oyabun. I am an adopted Bayushi." he drank some tea.

"Baka. Things were simpler back home. We could...hold our secrets to ourselves."

[Yogo Mizuki]

"Only because everyone was trying to figure them out."

Mizuki eats a piece of bacon. "I can't say how she will react, but if she can't accept who you are then she can go to Jigoku. She doesn't deserve you."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Ha! Such as it is. She's fiery, feisty and has an indomitable will. Reminds me of you Yogo-sempai." he replied with a smile.

[Yogo Mizuki]

"Then I'm sure she will be a good match."

Mizuki quickly grabs a piece of bacon. "Apparently, her sister and Yuichi-san hit it off. I know he did leave the best impression, but he is a good man. Once you can pierce through that Yogo bitterness of his."

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"His bitterness could be a liability to our efforts. He won't listen to me. Perhaps he will listen to you. He'll need to be careful."

[Yogo Mizuki]

"He told Liu Yue-san about the Curse. She also seemed to think well of him. He's trying. I don't think he will be a problem."

Mizuki goes to pick up a piece of bacon, but is hit by a wave of nausea. She decides that is the last piece of Unicorn food for the morning.
