[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"Yes." he waved the trinket he had fished out. "This calls the element of fire to... guide my actions for a brief moment. The effect is not particularly long... but it ought to be something?"

[Isawa Nonin]

Nonin nods. "I know of prayers that have a similar effect. Perhaps we could borrow a brazier? And make some sort of gift for the fire kami to make them more receptive, fire is not my best ring."

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"I don't have one with me, so perhaps we'll need to postpone the experiment." Dong-Ha sounded a little disappointed. "What kind of offering the spirits would appreciate?"

[Isawa Nonin]

"The fire kami prefer things tied to a person, letters, poems, origami, even hair," says Nonin. "The more emotion that is embedded in the object, the more they enjoy consuming it."

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"I guess I can shorten my hair a bit." he shrugged. "I just don't have a brazier with me." Perhaps they would need to reschedule their experiment?

[Isawa Nonin]

"I have a poem or two that could be spared for such a noble task," says Nonin. "When shall we reconvene to try this out?"

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"Tomorrow morning, before the winds pick up? Not that it hasn't been that windy lately." Dong-Ha suggested.

Nonin nods. "That should give more than enough time to gather everything. Would you mind if I invited another shugenja along?"

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"Who that would be, Isawa-san?" He asked more out of interest than having anything opposed to the idea.

[Isawa Nonin]

"There is a member of the Centipede clan here in attendance, she is likely to have better mastery of fire than I," he explains. "Her name is Moshi Asakiko-san, she is know as a diviner as well."

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"Ah..." Dong-Ha had heard the rumors. "Well then, why not. I would be pleased to meet her." he bobbed a bow. Two flies with a one stroke. He tried to recall what he had done to get this lucky. Truly the Fortunes were dancing at his feet.

"Now, I would like to ask something, in return... if that would be fine?"

[Isawa Nonin]

"Ask away, Iuchi-san," smiled Nonin.

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"What Isawa-san knows of blood magic?" Dong-Ha asked markedly.

[Isawa Nonin]

That brought a reflexive sign against evil from the Isawa. "That it is dangerous and corrupting, it draws upon the kansen we mentioned earlier to carry out horrific effects."

[Iuchi Dong-Ha]

"I see." he nodded. "And who might know more about such things?" he pressed the topic.
