[Moto Butaj]

"If Matsu Yurio is free to wrestle tomorrow morning, Butaj will be free then too unless miai organizers disagree." Butaj nods with a smirk.

[Matsu Yurio]

Yurio considers demanding the match now, but the memory of how the place had gone quiet after Nintoku's challenge decides the Unicorn might have it right.

"Tomorrow morning then, Moto-san."

A bow ends the agreements.

[Ide Amaya]

Her silence did not went unnoticed and a blush surfaced once more in the Matsu's cheeks "I apologize Ide-san if I caused offense." he lowered his eyes "I just... never really had a chance to witness the soft arts. In fact courtly arts are not very common among the Matsu."

"No offence has been given, Matsu-Sama. You honour this one by speaking so plainly, a blunt truth is better than a whole bed of soft lies." Watching his reaction was proving an interesting experience and she arranged her fan in an attempt to at least try conceal how she studied the man's burning cheeks.

"My family is known for its bluntness, well, among other things." he furrowed his brow "We are very honorable but we have a tendency to eschew subtlety in favor of well..." he gestured in reference to his previous bluntness

A slight raise of an eyebrow, "have you even met Butaj?" she asks lightly, and indicates to her 'barbarian' cousin. "The Moto are Ide are close. I grew up around men and women like him, men and women - I think - like you."

[Moto Butaj]

"Until tomorrow, Matsu Yurio." Butaj extends his hand for a shake. He then hears his name but handshake must come first.

[Yuzuki]

Yuzuki, by now, was standing by herself. Whispering something to herself for a few moments before looking at the smaller Matsu as his challenge to Butaj was acknowledged and done with. Except for the handshake. She remembered the handshaking.

[Matsu Yurio]

Yurio looked at the outstretched hand with some confusion.

"Is this some wrestling ritual I am not aware of?"

[Shinjo Kemuri]

"It is a custom the Unicorn acquired during our travels." Kemuri explained. "The grasping of hands, in greeting or in agreement, to express trust and understanding."

[Matsu Nintoku]

"I would say the Matsu are different to the Moto." he stated, the comparison with the Moto not being very favorable in his mind "But I can see the similarities. The Moto seem to be formidable warriors."

[Matsu Yurio]

Yurio continued to look at the hand, aware of all around him.

"This is disconcerting. Our traditions do not mesh. A samurai's word is his bond. There is no need for any further action to confirm it."

He looked to Butaj for the reply. His opinion would have the most sway with the little Lion right now.

[Ide Amaya]

She flushed and hid behind her fan, the Moto were unrefined but she held her cousins in great esteem, "my apologies if I have given offence, Matsu-Sama. The Moto are a strong people with long traditions. They claim no use for the pretty words the Ide say."

"It's hard to say which family needed the other more as we travelled. The Moto protected us by their strength, and in turn the Ide ensured that no feathers became too ruffled nor that our encounters on our journey turn to unnecessary violence." She did not add that - in dealing with merchants, caravans, or just their newly reunited kin - she believed violence to alway be unnecessary.

[Moto Butaj]

"A strong, honest handshake is a good way to greet and to say goodbye. Butaj, like most Moto, bows less and grips hands more. This is how Butaj expresses respect. But if Matsu Yurio is not ready to accept our customs, Butaj can live with it." Butaj explains, having the ear on Amaya's conversation.

"Actors change. Places change. But a lot of the same stories are told over and over again. It's best to get acquainted to many of the common strands if you can." He nodded.

"Perhaps you are right. But new actors have arrived now, so the plays may change," she says, scanning the room and noting the various other little dramas unfolding around them.

He chuckled, "That is quite true. I look forward to what you all bring to the table. Will keep things fresh for quite some time I suppose."
