Daily History Lessons II (Day 2, Late Morning)

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

When the Seppun looked to him, Monkhbaatar nodded. He thought it was a good idea. "That would be very helpful. Many of our number have gotten the chance to study such things to catch up but most of them are the individuals that will be instructors for the next generation or diplomats that will be interacting with the wider empire in an official capacity."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"It sounds like a good idea, yes," Tomoe nodded in agreement. "Mayhaps include such during the sessions with history?"

(Because there are too few timeslots in the day )

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"An extra reason to show up, by my estimation," Monkhbaatar says with a smile.

[Seppun Hideo]

"This is a wise notion" Hideo smiled "I'm thankful that the idea is well-received, and I do hope it would not be too much of an intrusion to use the time you had allocated to tell your stories to these lessons. However, it will allow you to share even more stories, neh?"

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Ah, no no, it won't be an intrusion at all. And if it can teach more, then all the better." The Hare nodded again.

"Seppun-sama is skilled in heraldry then?"

[Seppun Hideo]

"I consider myself to be well-learned in many subjects" Hideo replied with a nod "while I may not know every evolution of mons, I can identify the ones existing currently."

He looked to the Unicorn.

"Perhaps Shinjo-san could bring a storyteller for the Unicorn? We could also include the Unicorns heraldry and history in this."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"We've got quite a few storytellers. There are Marta vassal family members around here participating I believe," he says with a nod.

[Usagi Tomoe]

"I got the impression from Shinjo Hanashi-sama that his storytelling sessions would be best suited to not overlap with lessons on history, and I respect that he wishes to keep the storytelling traditions of the Marta separate."

That and there was limit to how much she could be bothered to cross-organize this thing.

[Seppun Hideo]

"I was merely intending to include them within the lessons; they are samurai of the empire after all. However, it may be quite a lot to organize within a single day. Perhaps we can include the families?"

Hideo looked to the Shinjo.

"Perhaps Shinjo-san could assist in this?"

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"Basics that every Unicorn knows would be easy for any unicorn to provide lessons on, though I imagine that in her studies thus far Tomoe-san has likely already garnered a good amount of understanding thus far, more than I could really expand on other than personal experiences. I could do my best to help but I expect she is already equipped with what she needs from conversations she's had already." He smiles at them both.

[Seppun Hideo]

Hideo nodded.

"My thoughts turned more towards your example before, the Marta vassal family. Many families within Rokugan have vassal families as well, each with their own mons and names. While I am aware of the overarching families of the Unicorn - the Ide, the Iuchi, the Moto, the Otaku and the Shinjo, it is these vassal families where our knowledge may be lacking. I wish to include every family, large or small, into the presentation, to show with the return of our honoured cousins the Unicorn, the complete Rokugani picture of families."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"Ah, I see. Yes, I can definitely help out with that. Though I'm not exactly knowledgeable about the differences of all their day to day activities and lifestyles, especially outside the Shinjo. But I can certainly do my best to help with understanding basics of them."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Tomoe realised she didn't know much about the history of the Unicorn after the Ki-rin left the Empire... making it rather difficult to keep a thematic fit to the history she had memorized for these presentations.

The Hare looked between the two men, before settling on Monkhbaatar. "... As long as it is no inconvenience to you, Shinjo-san."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"I can share that information, but I suspect it won't take a whole lot of sharing. There are only so many vassal families and as I said, I don't know a great deal about specifics other than their general purpose," he offers. "In most cases I don't even know the story of the vassal family's creation."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Tomoe pondered it a little. "... Perhaps that is something Shinjo Hanashi-sama would share as a story one of these days? I'd hate to step on his authority on the history of the Unicorn."
