Daily History Lessons II (Day 2, Late Morning)

[Usagi Tomoe]

"... I am certain you have much to teach people like me too, Monhk-san," the Hare offered. "Like, hm, well, I imagine people already ask you and your kin for riding lessons already?"

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"They do. And I've already started some with one person. If you are interested in me teaching you how a Unicorn rides I'd be happy to help. Meushi is definitely friendly and gentle enough to make lessons enjoyable."

[Usagi Tomoe]

The rabbit seemed to have some mixed feelings of interest and pensiveness regarding the prospect.

"Since you are offering, it would be impolite of me to refuse a lesson from a Shinjo. Thank you. I will have to take you up on that offer some time then."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"I'm glad to. If you are interested though, I could take you on a ride first to see if it's something you'd truly be interested in," he offers. "Introduction to lessons first without understanding the benefits and seeing them firsthand could be a bit intimidating I imagine."

[Seppun Hitako]

Hitako, as the day before, merely stood near the edge and listened. She knew some of the basics, but it was always good hearing more of what others thought of the Empire, it's history, and what had happened.

[Seppun Hideo]

While the story was acceptable...even if distasteful...Hideo was surprised and rather disappointing by the display after.

Perhaps she's forgotten she is the host on display

Hideo moved closer, offering a bow but beyond a small noise to show his presence didn't speak up until the host Hare had finished gushing over the Unicorn man.

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Ah... yes, perhaps that would be better," she nodded. "Thank you for the offer."

Noticing the Imperial approaching, Tomoe bowed deeply. "Seppun-sama. Ohayo gozaimasu."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

Also bowing to the Imperial, he offers a greeting. "Good morning Seppun-sama. It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Shinjo Monkhbaatar."

[Seppun Hideo]

"Usagi-san, Shinjo-san" Hideo said politely with a smile "good morning. I hope you are both well?"

He looked to the Hare.

"A quite impressive story Usagi-san. Such deep knowledge of history is a welcome boon to the Unicorn I imagine, with how much of history they have missed during the journeys beyond the Empires lands. I am Seppun Hideo."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

Monkhbaatar nods in agreement and to answer the question of if he's doing well. "I was just telling her the same thing. I look forward to learning more of the things that were missed in the time we were away."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Tomoe nodded.

"There is much the Unicorn have missed in their exodus, just like there is much they can share with us. To be forthcoming with one another is a good step to bring us all closer together."

[Shinjo Monkhbaatar]

"It's something I'm definitely devoted to. I really look forward to learning all of the proper Rokugani ways of doing things," he says with a smile.

[Seppun Hideo]

"That, Shinjo-san, is what lead me to see out Usagi-san here."

Hideo smiled.

"I am curious if Usagi-san would be interested in a joint venture to allow us to educate the Unicorn in both history and our ways."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Oh?" The rabbit looked curious. "I'm all ears, Seppun-sama."

[Seppun Hideo]

"After conversing with a number sent here for the miai, I believe that while the Unicorn have certainly remembered the way of the samurai, there is more we can do to assist. To that mind, I had considered introducing small lessons, much like your lessons, to help the Unicorn understand our ways better."

Hideo paused a moment, looking to the Shinjo before continuing.

"My first one had been a lesson in heraldry, as we both know how many different families and organizations exist within the empire. My idea would be to draw up the different heraldries of the empire, with names, and to assist in allowing those who attend to understand, stories about the histories can be offered."

He looked back to the Hare.

"It would be the first in a series of lessons that I have considered. Would this idea appeal to Usagi-san?"
