Dark Edge Village

Batul lighted the fire in the center of the Yurt, the rains have stopped, so the central opening of the Yurt is open, allowing the smoke to raise to the sky above. The samurai-ko sat near the Fire, letting its warmth reach her, although that was all the involvement of the fire with the samurai-ko.

The samurai-ko of the Unicorn brought out the amulet of Earth communing while she thought closely on her questions, they would not be many of them. She had removed part of the rugs of the Yurt, so she pressed her hand to the ground bellow with her eyes closed. She relaxed her breathing, making it deep, profound. On her other had she had the Meishodo of Earth Communing which she used when she felt her soul ready to speak to the spirits of the ground, testing what the Seppun had told her some days before.

She knew of her strange accent so, when she called to them, she avoided communication problems."

"Kami of the Earth, attend to the call of this humble servant. I solicite your coming."

Commune with Earth

The earth kami rumble a bit!

Batul noticed the rumble, and took it as the elements responding to her call. She cleared her mind and focused on the connection with the element to try to get what she required from their knowledge.

"Your humble servant needs to understand, why are the kami hard to reach for the shugenja of Rokugan?"

The earth kami takes a long time to reply. "The elements... are in disharmony."

This was her last opportunity, the kami had not given her much to work with, she had already known that. It was the first time that she had spoken to the kami, so she was mostly overwhelmed by them.
