Dark Edge Village

It had been a long day, but it was a bright moonlit night. It was perfect for the occassion and this gathering was long overdue. Kemuri threw more wood on the campfire outside his yurt and waited for the others to arrive.

Kumis cannot arrive after the drinkers, it would make no sense at all, so Butaj rushes in with his supplies for the feast, donating 3 big bulging skins! Already under influence from previous social calls, he's well-prepared for indecent talk and incessant throat singing. He brings in his morin khur.

"And where is everyone? Butaj hopes they haven't faltered ahead of the manly kurultai!"

Akil slipped in not long after Butaj, relief washing over him as he finally found himself somewhere where he could let his proverbial hair down.

"Moto-sama, Shinjo-sama, welcome!" Kemuri smiled broadly, extending his hand. "Lord Moon shines bright tonight. It's a good time to tell a few tales, neh? There's much to talk about, after another drink or two."

"Konbanwa, Marta-san ... Shinjo-san," Moto Baatar said, greeting Kemuri and Akil as he approached the fire. The young rider bore a skin of shochu in one hand. "The moon is bright, the night is young. Time for drinking!"

Sometime later, already somewhat tipsy Dong-Ha joined the group with a mostly full bottle of shochu in his hand. "Good evening everyone." he greeted the gathered Unicorn. "Good to see ya all here."

Nonchalantly sitting down by the campfire, laying the ceramic bottle close by to let it absorb some heat. "Good time for drinking too." He nodded to Baatar.

Butaj returns the greetings as they come, and tries not to mind that Bataar has ignored him. It is something he is used to not minding too much. Giving the kumis to his brethren to start or store for later into the night, he gets his morin khur out and begins to set the tone for the meeting, spreading camaraderie and propensity to drink more!

"Good evening, all," Akil smiled and took some of the kumis, sipping on it lightly.

al-Kalb had pondered not attending. Social events, even among the Unicorn, were not his forte. But, who knows, soon he might not be Unicorn - at least in name - so perhaps it was worth another try.

"Evenin'."

"So, cousins... How are you faring with the eastern girls so far?" Baatar asked casually. "I've met a few... they all seem very different."

Kemuri greeted each man as he arrived, offering a firm handshake. Taking a drink from one of the skins, he grinned.

"Ah, that's good. I like sake, but it's not the same."

Sitting by the camp fire, Dong-Ha reached for his bottle and took a sip from it, gasping as the liquid burnt his mouth. Luckily, he did not cough.

Moto Baatar wrote:"So, cousins... How are you faring with the eastern girls so far?" Baatar asked casually. "I've met a few... they all seem very different."

"Aye cousin, different. Many of them are so small you wonder if they didn't get enough food growing up." Dong-Ha chuckled. "Cute still. Cute, but small."

"They are... nice," Akil offered, choosing to drink kumis instead of going into detail.

"Some do seem... fragile." Kemuri chuckled. "But, that isn't necessarily a bad thing. On the other hand, there are certainly some with strength, like the Mantis who threw Moto Butaj-sama to the ground."

"Though... if that's the same Mantis I talked with the first day... she is strange. Goes around with a cat, did have much to say. Maybe the cat got her tongue?" Dong-Ha shrugged. "I don't know, maybe she isn't that bad, but I am wasn't too impressed with her."
