D2, EE - Checkups (outside Yukarin's yurt)

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"Sounded more like you were coming to understand yourself just a bit better, Togashi-sama."

Her smile stayed, "Seems like your next step would be to expand on and clarify those things so that they turn from ideas into goals, from motivations into values."

[Togashi Udo]

Udo has a small lopsided smile while she talks. "Indeed. If I may be bold, what are you looking for, Iuchi-san?"

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"Looking for at the miai, or in general?"

She couldn't help but ask.

[Togashi Udo]

"If one goes looking for a grouse, there is a chance of finding one, but also a chance of not. If one goes looking for birds, one is sure to be successful."

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"Hmmmm... maybe I should just stick with the miai then, to have less risk of giving too much away to such an insightful man."

A slight pause of thought, "Well, I suppose more than anything I'm looking for someone interesting; Intelligence, good looks, and such are all good, but if he's interesting then a lot of that is negotiable."

[Togashi Udo]

Udo chuckles at her first comment. "I just wasn't looking for a grouse with my question."

"But don't worry, Iuchi-san, your answer was a star in the night sky. It is illuminating, but not enough to light my path."

Udo smiles a bit. "I'm slipping into my monk habits to best impress a woman of high intelligence. I hope you'll forgive me."

[Iuchi Yukarin]

Yukarin chuckled, "As I said, I don't need someone to impress my intellectually... though you hardly lack for coming up with interesting things to say. I will give you that."

[Togashi Udo]

Udo smiles mischievously. "Who said I was trying to impress you intellectually for you? Maybe I do it to show the wisdom of all Dragons," he chuckles.

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"If you were to say that, Togashi-sama, then ~I~ would have to say you were only telling a half truth."

She gave a short nod.

[Togashi Udo]

"Half? I reject that offer, Iuchi-san. I will go as low as three-quarters a truth," he says with a smile.

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"Hmmm... there is, of course, an allowed for margin of error. But a wondrous thing about half truths, no matter which way they lean... they almost never contain any lies either. So the actual division isn't too relevant."

[Togashi Udo]

Udo tilts his head to the side. "I believe you just absolved me. Good."

"It is not interesting, but perhaps I could join you as you read? I enjoy meditation, but I don't often do it with good company. Maybe I will learn something. Or maybe you will while reading and can teach me."

[Iuchi Yukarin]

"The book?" she looked back at the red bound tome, "Hmmm... I wouldn't say I'm going to be reading it per say; It's not in Rokugani, and I don't speak any other languages."

[Togashi Udo]

Udo's eyes go a little wide.

"You are learning to swim by jumping off a boat."

[Iuchi Yukarin]

She gave a laugh, "I'm not trying to translate it as such; Though I may see if there is someone around here who can read Mekhem. But I'm just looking at it as a curiosity for now, Togashi-sama."
