Absolutely undignified (Day 1, Late Evening)

[Moto Butaj]

Butaj looks at her with confusion. "Butaj has no idea why Asako Yuki has said that. Bariqu is meant to impress, far less so to do harm."

[Asako Yuki]

"Fighting, even ceremonially, should serve a higher purpose than oneself." Yuki explained. "While I am happy to hear that Bariqu was used to quell violence, one must always beware of even those tools, or they will lead to the violence that they were meant to restrict." Yuki almost sounded like she was quoting as she spoke, apparently it was a lesson that had been well drilled into the young Phoenix's head.

[Moto Butaj]

"Showcasing the strength of the Moto and the Unicorn is greater than Butaj." The Moto is not entirely getting her point. He rubs his stubble in thought. "Violence is one thing, harm is another for Butaj."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki frowned slightly. "But violence leads to harm. We may be warriors, yes, but among the Phoenix we strive for peace before violence. Talking out ones issues without resorting to violence is commonly a good way to resolve issues without the need for anyone to be harmed." She explained, though her hands wrung nervously. She wasn't a very good spokesman for Phoenix idealism.

[Moto Butaj]

"Butaj thinks it's easier for someone who knows a lot about violence to control it than for someone who knows too little about it. Butaj thought that easterners cherish their warriors for that, being so well-trained in violence that they deter violence by being awesome at it. Butaj thinks there will always be some ambition, anger, passion, envy and greed in men. And they will be challenging and rivalling. Bariqu focuses on impressing with strength and skill, not with extent of harm, and thus is a sport for true warriors." Butaj pauses, looking at her fidgeting hands with some worry. "But if Butaj blabbering on this tires Asako Yuki, we can talk about other things, or just drink."

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki smiled slightly. "I am well acquainted with violence. Perhaps not as well as you, but I graduated near the top of my class." Noticing the glance Yuki gripped her hands for a moment to stop the fretting.

"Hai. Well, actually, it is getting rather late, isn't it?" She smiled softly. "I like to be an early riser." Looking at the Moto, she paused for a moment. "We'll see each other again the day after tomorrow, right? I... enjoyed our time, and I look forward to seeing you again."

[Moto Butaj]

Butaj nods. "Butaj is grateful for your time. It's been a very good evening for Butaj thanks to Asako Yuki. He looks forward to seeing you again and sharing poetry with you. May your yurt hold against all winds, may the steppe sing you lullabies." He smiles on a softer note as well.

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki blushed slightly. "May the fortunes favor you, Moto-san." She responded, then got to her feet and bowed before heading back towards her own yurt.
