He nodded, "I am sure at least one is jealous of Fukawa," he confirmed with a sigh, hand touching the back of his head.

"I did not mean to mention a woman who wanted your hand, Akil-san." Yue let out a sigh. "What do you think the Ide and the Imperial will do?"

"I hope nothing rash," he shook his head, "Being upset about not getting one's way is fine. But it is important to be able to move on, and not dwell so much on things that principles are abandoned."

"We can only pray that the Fortunes and ancestors guide them on the right path." She let out a sigh. "However, I can understand why they are upset. I did not know such a thing was allowed."

"I believe we all were taken by surprise," he sighed as well, "I am simply glad that one of them didn't take my Fukawa from me."

"I suppose I should be glad that Hirase was not taken from me." Yue let out a small laugh. "If that happened, I would have picked Taira. That would have been a good sign from the Fortunes."

"Admittedly, I do not know Taira that well," he shrugged, "would that have been so bad?"

[Shinjo Liu Yue]

"Iie. Taira is a good man. It was simply a choice of," she trailed off, trying to find some way to put it. She turned red and decided, once more, to take the blunt approach. "Hirase is accepting of me taking on a paramour. Taira would not be."

Akil nodded. "Given your situation, it makes sense." He smirked, "I'm glad that you found someone who would find it acceptable."

"Hai. I did not come to this miai expecting to." Yue let out a small laugh. "Did you expect to find a lover here, Akil-san?"

"I didn't know what to expect," he laughed, "I just wanted to do good work for the clan."
