Day 3

8th day of the Month of the Monkey, 758

Another warm day graces Unicorn lands. The heat once again becomes oppressive (+5 to your TNs if you're wearing fur in a thread), though the temperatures have dropped by the evening hours, when clouds drift in from the east. The waxing moon peeks out from behind the clouds, providing more than enough light for the samurai below.

Rumors

They say that Moto Butaj is strong, handsome, and possessed of an equally masculine singing voice! He will sing you the many songs of his glory.

It's probably not surprising that Iuchi Yukarin won yesterday's event. The Unicorn seem to speak a wide variety of languages, so it makes sense that they're so good at learning new ones. Surprised a Hare took second, though...

That Yasuki Tomonaga sure seems to have a lot of good sake!

The Shiotome are honorable and virtuous warriors. Given how long they have spent beyond the borders of the Empire, it is surprising how they have managed to become such shining paragons of Bushido.

Did you hear about Usagi Tomoe? People are calling her a blasphemer of the highest order after she claimed that the Emperor had been tricked by a fox spirit. Given the number of Seppun at the miai and all of the hard work they do keeping the Emperor safe, it seems like the dueling grounds might see some activity.

People are asking questions about a man named Moto Silvia. Who is he? Why are so many letters arriving for him? Why are the Ide so nervous whenever his name is brought up? There's something strange going on... what are the Unicorn hiding from us?
