Listen, the guy who designed the game more or less stated that game balance wasn't a thing he believed in
Also, maho is already decidedly imbalanced, it's not like easier access to blood from a game design standpoint makes it radically more imbalanced.
Yeah, I am aware that L5R as a system has never been meant to be particularly balanced. However I believe that the GM on pbp's ought to make sure that everyone can enjoy the game, and that involves plugging holes left by the original developers.
Sometimes the very holes you pointed out in the original alpha design/playtest process!
