So you're at -1D to Fighting when jousting, and you can't even do it if your not at least 1B in Spears?

You lose -1D to Fighting tests when you charge. You lose the training requirement bonus dice from your total rolled, and if you can't remove any bonus dice you instead take -1D. So if you don't have at least +1B in Spears you would be rolling your Fighting -2D when you make a joust, which is against a TN of your opponent's (Animal Handling * 4) + (Riding B).

You do kickass damage though! Animal Handling + 4 +whatever from Charge, plus if you have any Strength B in Athletics

Just an update: though there haven't been previews, we're still working on things. It's been busy here and I haven't had time to properly convert all my hand-written notes into digital versions or to turn the existing drafts into finalized versions.

We're still eyeing the same start date but the date of our move may have been pushed back a month to the start of September; depending how that plays out we might have to push the game start date a little later.

I know the preview isn't up yet, but I wanted to apologise/warn in advance to other players who were eyeing the Reach as their home. Mizuki and I have teamed up with two other players, and one of them just has her heart set on being from the Reach, so we're looking to claim four of the five slots available there.

That being said, if there's anyone who is interested in being a member to my player-made house, we're definitely open to taking a fifth

Just so it's said, in a game with limited slots, it's really impolite to work as a team and eat almost all of them in one section. It's not against the rules per se, but other people may have concepts they want to do there.

That's why I wanted to offer a heads up now, a full month in advance, so that any issues can be worked through.

If it turns out that the Reach is not feasible, myself and the others are willing to move to a less popular region, for example.

I think what our fine Doji was trying to point out was, While,it's very polite of you to point out your intention, it's a bit unrealistic to expect people to change their concepts because it. Games with slots in this community work a bit differently.

Slots are on a first come first serve basis after all, and those of us more experienced with this, create characters that can fit in any house under slightly different circumstances. Having in character connections is a fine thing and all, but this might prove a difficult game to achieve it to that degree. Just a heads up really.

Mind you I don't plan to be from the reach, so you're safe from me at least.

I am not asking anyone to change their intentions. In fact, if you read my post above yours, you'll see that I and the three players I'm working with are offering to change ours to help accommodate our concepts.

What I was aiming for was, if people were thinking about the Reach but were undecided, their opting for a different house would be super helpful to me.

Mind you a lot of this is open to change as more previews come in, and don't let these numbers dissuade you from a house. As I said before thing's are first come first serve.

Yeah, I thought I had until the end of the month to get the current wave done so I spent time rough drafting them with the plan of finishing them up this week and next which has lead to a rush to finalize them. Instead, I'm going to do a bit more quality check and follow the following schedule for previews:

July 25th - House Algood Preview
July 29th - The Grand Melee Preview
August 1st - House Terrick Preview
August 6th - The Maester's Conclave Preview
August 8th - House Wydman Preview
August 12th - The Red & Black Explored
August 15th - House Dunn Preview
August 15th or 16th - Forums open, registration begins
August 24th - Game Time is Go!

I may do smaller previews in between but this is the plan going forward!
