Out of curiosity,

Why are players (all over the world, not just in HT) so attached to the Fox? I don't really recall much about them being crazy special other than them assisting the Mantis and then getting enveloped.

Edit: asking because I want to read/see the awesomeness that inspired folks to be so loyal to them and their freedom

Foxes and Kitsune are cool.

Also I think their first Champion(in the stories) was pretty well liked by the fanbase.

I think there may be a lot of cache with them being the "First Minor Clan".

They also have sort of a cool job, as Runno points out, guarding a forest where magical Chikushudo creatures not only live, but interact with them.

Also, Foxes are generally adorable.

In general, I like my Minor Clans, and in the canon, I was vehemently opposed to Yoritomo's Assimilation of other Minor Clans.

I mean, I could kind of understand Tsuruchi teaming up with Yoritomo and the Mantis. They have a lot of similar backgrounds and ideas. Why on earth the Centipede, the honorable pacifistic sun-worshipping hippies, joined with Yoritomo is something I'm still scratching my head over.

Even the Dragonfly becoming Dragon in this timeline makes me cry for my beloved Minor Clans. ;__;

I'm with Tomoe I enjoy the minor clans, they add a bit of flavor yo the world and a bit of variety. I just kinda felt the fox joining the Unicorn makes them, unicorn shunjfamily number two, and will lead them to losing a lot of their individuality.

Which won't be true immeadetly of course, but it ended up effecting the moshi and tsuruchi after they joined the Mantis. All three former clans generally being labeled as pirates now.

I say that and I love the mantis :p

Just considered this, taking into account the results of this poll and the Unicorn poll.

If the Crab are to find out about the Unicorn's deal with the onyx champion and go to war with them. (A future possibility I feel.) Fox lands are awfully close to Crab lands, and really far away from Unicorn.
