Should the Unicorn accept the Onyx Champion's deal?

Yes. The Unicorn will send a large portion of their forces back out into the desert to rescue Shinjo, eventually returning with her to the Empire just as things reach their darkest. In return, the Onyx Champion will amass a sizable army of undead Unicorn.

If this game proved anything, it's that Otaku horses are more effective than Rank 1 bushi! Time for a new doctrine, methinks.

In the mean time their corpses will likely attack the crab. (probably)

Hope we don't have to recapture Shiro Hiruma...

She may have bigger things to deal with. Like the return of a dead Hantei, Iuchiban, the Onyx Champion and his horde of Unicorn, the Black Scrolls and the imminent return of her brother Fu Leng.

The Kolat are realistically an ally in, or at least a common enemy of, all of those.
