There are a lot of people who would've been justified in issuing a challenge to Baatar over various slights, but I don't think Yuki was one of them.

It would be about as flimsy as Mei's reason to challenge Kitakuhime, but Yuki could certainly say her honor was slandered by Baatar too profoundly to ignore and demand a public apology. If Baatar refused, then duel to force him.

I think the more I look into it, I find there are VERY FEW reasons for a duel to take place legitimately.

Oh, there are tons, they just are very hard to pull off in a PbP setting and require both players to really be gung ho about the whole dueling/honor concept. The moment one player values living over honor, a large number of very serious slights become duels over silly and narrowly chosen segments of disagreement.

It's actually a bit of a comedy show, the dueling scene. Part of why I keep trying to not touch it, yet somehow always do.
