Animals. Always animals wth them. Such smelly things.

Suteichi walked amongst the pens to see the animals again. He was curious of their livestock.

While Yukarin was not a fan of horses, she was quiet fond of other animals. Especially small fuzzy ones that let her touch them. Or the ones that tasted delicious with cheese and gravy. It was the latter kind she would find in the animal pens. Though some were quite pettable as well.

As Suteichi would walk along he would indeed find a young Unicorn woman petting a sheep, her happy smile not betraying the the gluttonous thoughts the poor sheep was receiving from her.

"Good evening Unicorn-sama. " Suteichi spoke with a soft tone. "You are quite good with the animals it seems."

"Hai; Especially with a brown sauce."

She paused a moment before one and one clicked in her head and she stood bolt upright.

"I mean a-a little! Not as good a-as many of my cousins, Scorpion-sama."

Apparently I startle people...Good.

"Please, please. I meant not startle you. I am Bayushi Suteichi. Courtier of the Scorpion Clan." he greeted with a bow. "To whom do I have the honor to have company with this evening?"

Clearing her throat, Yukarin bowed deeply, "This one is named Iuchi Yukarin, Bayushi-sama. And you do not need to worry about startling me; I was simply a bit lost in thought."

"Understandable. I wish to understand the animals. Very interesting livestock your clan has."

"Understand the animals, Bayushi-sama? May I ask what you mean?"

"Well..interacting. Caring for them. I had a pet once as a child. It did not work out so well."

"Ah."

Yukarin mused, her demeanor much more relaxed at this point, hands folded together in front of her, "...I confess I would be interested to learn those things as well. I know very little about caring for animals and have never had a pet personally. It feels like something I have a dearth in knowledge of... especially for one of my Clan."

"So you are a scholar?"

"Most certainly," she replied with a smile, "Well, as much as a scholar one can learn to be while traveling the deserts beyond the Empire. I have had much support from my family and Clan fortunately, so I feel I was able to make much progress despite the limited materials."

"Most impressive. You are a credit to your sensei."

Her smile spread further, almost into the territory of a grin, "Bayushi-sama has only just met me and he is already willing to say such a thung? I thank you for the kind words."

She gave a strange little bow before straightening, "In addition to my hobby of being a historian, more formally I am a negotiator, both in and out of formal courtly settings."

"Please, tell me of your negotiation. So you're a diplomat of sorts..."
