"Hopefully someone will be here to tell me what I should do to teach you, you little brat!"

Mei yells after her puppy as she quickly walks to the animal pens, searching for where the little thing ran off to.

Speaking of potential teachers, more yipping hinted at the arrival of Akil, who followed the dog with a blank expression. This animal will be the death of me.

Hearing the barking, Mei turns around.

"How did you get..."

She begins, her voice angry and quick. She stumbles when she sees the dog has an owner however.

"Oh, good afternoon, Shinjo-san. Forgive me, I thought you were the puppy I was given."

Akil for the moment gave up on chasing the dog. "Oh, no worries, Miya-sama. Mine is giving me plenty of trouble, I admit."

"I have no idea where mine even is. He smelled something in the pens and took off."

She glances as Akil's pup.

"Have you named yours?"

"She is Kimi," he nodded, "and she is a right terror, she is."

"Kimi"

Mei tests the name.

"It works for a dog. I like it. I have no clue for mine."

She lets out a whistle and all that answers is a sheeps bleet in return.

"I thought so," he nodded. Kimi ran up to Me and started dancing around her, barking excitedly.

"Well hello! Hi! OKay! Yes! You think so?"

Mei talks with the dog for a moment before reaching down to pat it.

"The Moto train a lot of dogs then I take it?"

"War dogs are quite a tradition," he nodded. "Like the Matsu lions."

"I see. I imagine they are quite fearsome."

From somewhere in the sheep pen, a puppy yelps and then comes running back to Mei's side.

"Though..not quite so much yet."

"They are pups, after all," he laughed as he watched the pup, "I can't imagine even Butaj-san was terribly intimidating as a child."

Mei nods.

"That is very true. So have you been trying any training with yours?"

"A bit," he nodded, frowning at Kimi. "She isn't terribly interested in listening to me yet.". Kimi ran up to him and barked. "..."

"Mine either. Perhaps we should let the two of them play together for a bit and see if they will listen better then?"

Mei reaches down and picks up the puppy that was given to her.

It licks at her hands viciously.
