Dark Edge Village

Yuuru began to stir and opened his eyes to see what was rested on his chest. Smiling as his mind began to awake and remember the events of last night he wrapped his arm tightly around Tomoe's sleeping form which was nestled into his chest and side. The blankets covered them and kept their bodies warm against each other. He gently tilted his head down and kissed the crest of her head.

What a night... What a beautiful woman she is.

Tomoe stirred a little as she felt something against her head.

Without opening her eyes, she put together who it was that was holding her and keeping her warm, and who had kissed her just now. Her body shifted a little closer to his.

"... I don't want to wake up," she murmured groggily.

He chuckled weakly, "You don't have to go anywhere for a while Bunny. Stay as long as you like."

"I should damn well hope so," she chuckled too, "seeing how this is my tent!"

"... But you can stay a little longer."

He chuckled, "Thank you. And thank you for last night beautiful... You're... simply amazing."

She placed a kiss on his chest. "Thank you. I... I'm glad we could have this time, before this miai ends."

He smiled, "Well, no matter how this ends... it's nice to have experienced a love like this. Though I don't see us ending any time soon."

She was quiet for a time.

"I don't know who I'll end up marrying... but, I don't know..." Tomoe sighed. It was hard to say it. "I like you, but we might not be able to see eachother again after we're married."

He smiled, "I don't know either. But I'll leave that one up to fate. I may just have to practice my poetry though... send you some anonymous letters now and then."

"Considering no one else sends me poetry, I'll know it's from you," she chuckled sweetly and kissed his skin once more.

"Never thought I'd actually have to consider composing my own poetry, rather than just liberally borrow from the masters..."

He chuckles, "Whatever fits the situation. I trust your ability to make good decisions... you did sleep with me after all."

"... You're somehow making that not sound good," she huffed and looked up at him to boop him on the nose.

He smiled, "Well I certainly appreciate it."

"Maybe I did it out of pity?" she said with a half-hearted tease.

"... No, probably more because I wouldn't want to regret not choosing who to share this with first, rather than having to give it to someone who I didn't even choose."

He smiled, "There's the honesty. See? You didn't have to hide it."
