It's Always Summer Under The Sea (D5, LE, Tomoe's)

[Usagi Tomoe]

"Uhm..." she was starting to feel a little bit of sympathy for the Asako before her.

"I... guess the closest I've heard of it is the story of the Peach Boy, or the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, but... those are fairytales, Asako-sama. Even Osano-Wo-kami was concieved with the... err... joining of the Thunder Dragon and Lord Hida."

"You could say that, like how Lady Sun and Lord Moon joined together for the first known eclipse that is said to have created their children, man and woman here in our world too join together to create life."

[Asako Yuki]

"Baka." The woman muttered to herself. "Arigato for speaking with me, Usagi-sama." She looked back up, smiling but perhaps on the verge of tears that she was holding in.

[Usagi Tomoe]

"... Asako-sama?" she said with some concern as she took in the woman's expression. "Is everything alright?"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki bit her lower lip a bit. "I've troubled you enough, Usagi-sama. I shouldn't be any more of a hassle to you."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"It's no trouble, really," she replied in a soft tone, even if she couldn't bring herself to press Yuki to say what the matter was.

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki sniffled a little. "It's just... that is what I had been told, and I'd foolishly believed it. I thought, maybe someone had lied to my sister when she told me, but... if you'd never heard something like that." Yuki sniffed again. "She lied to me. Why did she lie to me?" Yuki's eyes were starting to turn red with tears that she was holding back.

[Usagi Tomoe]

"... Uhm... maybe she told you that when you were little?" Tomoe suggested, knowing that it could easily be something said to a child to avoid the awkwardness of what sex really was. "She... probably didn't mean to hurt you, right?"

Whatever family dynamic was in Yuki's household was unknown to her, but she did feel very sorry for the Asako girl. So the Hare scooted a bit closer to offer the Phoenix a shoulder to cry on.

[Asako Yuki]

"it was two years ago!" Yuki finally broke down, taking the offered shoulder but even in her state, trying to not cry too badly on the Usagi's garments.

[Usagi Tomoe]

Oh... well, then your sister is a bitch.

"Shhh..." Tomoe cooed softly in an attempt to offer some consolation. "It's alright, it's alright, Asako-san... it's alright to cry."

"Your mother didn't talk to you about the monthly bleeding, or where children come from? It was only your sister?"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki shook her head. "She gave some tips on how to handle it, but she never really talked about why it was happening." She sniffled. "And since Kaori had already told me, I didn't think to ask."

[Usagi Tomoe]

Yep. Bitch-sister. Fortunes, I hope Tamaki-nee-san wouldn't have done that to me...

"... I can't speak of your family, Asako-san, but... I can be of help to you, if you want to speak to another woman about this sort of thing? Or the ones who told you first that it was a lie?"

[Asako Yuki]

"It was Hirase-san that told me. Have you met him? He's a scholar, like you..." Yuki still looked miserable, but the worst seems to have passed. "Thank you for listening, Usagi-sama."

[Usagi Tomoe]

"I do not think I've had the honor of meeting him, but if he's a scholar too, I believe you are in good hands, Asako-sama," Tomoe put on a brave smile for the poor woman and offered her a piece of cloth for her to wipe her tears with.

"I have a mirror too, if you need it?"

[Asako Yuki]

Yuki quietly took the cloth. "Please, arigato for your kindness, Usagi-sama." She lifted her head from the Hare's shoulder and began to dab at her eyes.

[Usagi Tomoe]

Letting Yuki have the moment to compose herself, Tomoe went to the box with her personal effects like combs and makeup to find her small hand mirror.

"If anything, I should be grateful that your Family taught me such kindness and Compassion to my fellow samurai, Asako-sama. I am ever grateful for all they have taught me." She passed the mirror to Yuki, so she could at least make herself a little presentable before she left, rather than looking like she had just cried.

"You are a very lovely woman, Asako-sama, so I'm sure you will find someone here who will help you learn these things about being a woman."
