Walk through the Fire (D7, EE, Open)

[Matsu Kogo]

Noburu growls and Kogo lets her up for a brief moment. She goes up to sniff the big crab and the new unicorn, not having met them before. Kogo clicks her fingers at her and she flicks her tail and backs up. "She is saying hello, in her own surly way."

[Shinjo Taichi]

Taichi said nothing for the moment but kept an eye on the Matsu, knowing that something had obviously happened since their last meeting. He continued to work the room, playing the host, but making sure to acknowledge that it was Kogo's event.

[ooc: will be afk for a while now, so just assume that drinks are there if you hold out a cup.]

[Moshi Asakiko]

"Konbanwa min sama..." She greeted with a bow. "It is an honor to meet you." The moshinsmiled at the Kitsu. "You have good fortune Matsu sama... I am glad it helped you once again." She looked at the Kaiu. "Have yours been so lucky Kaiu sama?" then she turned to the Seppun. "Seppun sama i have something to ask. As you know I am planing things and would like for you to help me. Many of our host don't know what the art of dueling is and well I am no expert but I want to show them what Taryu jiai is about and perhaps I could find a pair of Bushi that would be willing to do a duel demonstration."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo senses a bit of Taichi-s unease, but chalks it up to the odd day. She sips her sake. "So Hiroji-sama, I saw your song as well. It was well done. I am impressed by your abilities. Obviously the singing you have done as a child has lent you some skill."

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji looks at the cat curiously. He extends his hand to the cat to sniff, as he answers. "I did not know I was capable of such a feat. I was mostly propelled by the sake and my... Passion. I suppose the singing did provide some training though." He nods.

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles and then clicks her tongue. Noburu returns and sits behind her mistress, becoming a grudging cushion again. "Sake can do many things." There is a cheekiness to her smile.

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji responds to her smile with his own amused smile. "Indeed it can. A miraculous substance it is."

[Matsu Kogo]

She laughs. " It seems to have done you some good. Perhaps a bit too much good?"

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji chuckles. "Good, yes, it's done plenty of that. But it gives and it takes. I am afraid I am suffering a bit from our earlier meeting Kogo-san." he says with a pained smile.

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji nodded to the Moshi, his smile fading a bit. "Lucky? I suppose so. Though I do not feel like it."

[Matsu Kogo]

She smiles. "Well, the fire is warm, there is sake or water, whichever you prefer and I suspect no one will ask for a repeat performance." She jokes.

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji chuckles. "You are quite right Kogo-san. I think there has been more than enough singing today."

[Matsu Kogo]

She relaxes back into Noburu, sipping the sake very slowly and she opens the conversation to the rest of the fire. "What do you think will be planned for tomorrow, honored company? It seems the Unicorn have a vast...creativity in their spirit. I am intrigued to think what will be next."

[Kaiu Hiroji]

Hiroji gives a hmph as he takes a cup of water. "I can only hope it is something I have skill in. Maybe something to do with breaking things. I hope it's something to do with breaking things."

[Matsu Kogo]

Kogo laughs at his grumpy humor. "I hope it is something like jiujitsu or some skill a bushi might have. Another day of fan painting and poetry and I may throw up my hands and wish I had been born a courtier." Though not a Crane, pretty little birds that they are.
