Day 4 [LE] Mr. Warmth (Suteichi's Yurt)

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"Gokiburi will be fine, he is with the other horses in the stables. I trust the caretakers there to see to the needs of all the horses well enough," she gave as an answer, letting out a slight sigh. Part of her felt like something big just.. passed. Though she had no idea what it was.

Running a finger along her collar she dug into her skin with her knuckle, chasing off discomfort. Suteichi could see the pink skin beneath the color had grown darker, almost beginning to turn red now. "It is different than what I am used to but I can see how it is calming. Though the taste is softer than to what I am accustomed. I believe I could get used to drinking tea like this?"

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"I am sure I can get a servant to get us some sake if you like." he joked, though he really wasn't joking. They were servants and if she wanted sake well, so be it. He did happen to catch her skin.

"Is everything alright, Liu Fei-san? I do want you to be comfortable?"

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"I do not intend to force someone to move through this weather just to get me sake," she said with a light smirk, though when the next question came that smirk faded and she instead seemed confused as she raised a brow.

"Yes, everything is alright Suteichi-san. Why do you ask?" she said, hiding how she was now rubbing at her wrist just below the sleeve.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"Forgive me for looking at you so closely and do believe me, you are a sight fit to behold but, your skin seems to be a bit red."

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Liu Fei looked over her shoulder to him with a confused look, raised brow and then when it seemed to click she first checked her sleeves. Pulling them up along her arm to reveal her whole arm under the sleeve had turned red. This held true when she checked her neckline and, away from Suteichi's view, loosened her collar enough to check down her torso.

It felt like her skin was crawling everywhere her skin had turned red. Bewildered she looked to Suteichi for an explanation, nearly demanding one with a look. Having no experience with kimono she could only rely on him for an answer.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

Damnit. I bet its the kimono.

"Liu Fei-san, it is important that you trust me. I believe the robe is making you have a reaction. Please..."

This is NOT how I wanted to see her for the first time! He hated having to ask this next question.

"Please take the kimono off. Let me find you something else till morning." He hurried over to his clothes and found his yukata. Thankfully it was made of cotton. He walked over to her as she would prepare to disrobe. He kept his eyes locked onto her eyes and apologized.

"Liu Fei," he began with a soft, gentle but serious tone, "I really did not know that this would happen and I truly apologize for the discomfort this has caused you. Please put this on immediately. Trust me and just do as I say. I am very, very sorry this has happened. It won't cover you completely but it will keep most of the better parts...I mean as much of you as covered as possible. Let me know when you are covered."

She would see that he was desperately trying to not look at her though he greatly was. He did feel horrible but he kept his emotions in check.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"A reaction?" she asked instinctively, rising to her feet as Suteichi did to go grab his Yukata. Aiming for some sense of parity as they would both be standing. Needing that comfort of not being in the weaker position, though she would never admit that was the reason why if she even realized it herself.

Having him apologize or this was.. different, she truly wasn't sure how to feel. "I do not under-," she cut herself off. As he had already asked her to trust him not once but twice. Given her inability to explain this situation in any other way she could only really accept his explanation.

"I am sorry Suteichi-san, could you turn away for a moment?" she asked, looking to him, keeping sure that his eyes did not wander she disrobed. Removing the offending fabric from her now cherry red skin. It truly stretched to every part of her body that had come into contact with the silk, leaving only her hands and feet untouched apart from her face.

Quickly she put on the Yukata it rested.. lower, or shorter than she was comfortable with. Leading her to sit on her bottom as many Unicorn did rather than the traditional Rokugani method. With such a loose neckline it was clear to see the line where the Kimono had laid before. Arms, and legs, both revealed and bright red she tried to keep the fidgeting down but she was more used to staring down enemies than fighting off the constant crawling she felt all across her skin.

In the moment that followed she wasn't really quite sure what to say. So she simply sat there for a moment, looking about the tent awkwardly for another and then finally looked back to Suteichi. All the while fighting off the urge to scratch at her irritated skin. Which was made easier by another need, one hand passively holding the loose Yukata above to close it a little more and the other keeping the short, to mid thigh length, fabric down.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

He turned at her request. His back remained turned as she put the yukata on.

"Are you decent my lady?" his tone was endearing and caring. He caught himself.

Don't be soft now you idiot!

"I mean, Does it fit ok. I can turn around now?" he tried to sound professional but it seemed fake. He genuinely was concerned for her well being.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

"Surprisingly, Suteichi-san, it fits. Though," she paused, electing to not say how the Yukata made her feel bare. That.. that would be letting him in. Much like he caught himself, she too managed barely to try to keep herself on track.

"You may turn again, Suteichi-san," she said, glancing off to the side. Damned silk. You've really let yourself slide tonight Fei. Yue can never hear of this or she might never allow me to live it down.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

There's no possible way she would know! Ok. Get it together. She's obviously uncomfortable probably feeling next to naked...

"Turn on you? You feel that way? That I would leave you in a vulnerable state?" Suteichi undid his obi and opened his kimono. He had a fit look about his chest and it was baby smooth.

"This more comfortable for you my lady?" he quipped.

Ok...maybe she may not like what she sees. I've gone this far, finish it.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Fei looked to him with a slight bit of confusion, had he misheard her or had she misspoken? However, before she could figure out which one it was enough to correct him he had undone his obi. Seeing the smoothness of a courtier chest she... well, she truly didn't know how to react to this development. With such conflicting thought she could only glance away again, stifling a laugh that was not directed at him but perhaps from her own conflicting thoughts and feelings.

"Suteichi-san.." she started, "What are you doing?"

[Bayushi Suteichi]

"We're both going to be a bit...out of place then tonight. Now shall we continue tea?"

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Liu Fei looked at him for a moment longer oddly, hid a small smile and then finally gave a short nod in acceptance.

"Alright, let us continue tea," she said a little amused. Dropping the hand holding the Yukata together above so that she could hold her cup and sip from it.

[Bayushi Suteichi]

A moment or two of awkward silence and then laughter.

"Liu Fei-san, I feel like such a fool. I did not know of your condition and I wanted our evening to be special. This whole courting you thing isn't working out so well is it?"

I really do wish it was.

[Shinjo Liu Fei]

Condition, the word seemed grating to Liu Fei's ears but she couldn't deny it was true. "How could you have known something I did not Suteichi-san? I think I would have been a great deal more worried if you had, but.." she glanced to him, thinking.

Eventually, she shook her head, "No, it is not going to plan Suteichi-san but I do not think it is not going well," she allowed herself to admit.
